No, it's called common sense.
so why you want to close your curtains if you don't walk around naked in your house at 5:30am?

Agreed. I look around when I am out walking my dog, partly because I don't hear well. It keeps me aware of my surroundings. Also, I am a curious person. I like to see how people do things with their homes, such as decorations, plants and landscaping, etc. It gives me ideas for my home to see the things that are done. I don't look inside the window intentionally. However, people need to visualize walking in the dark. Someone has their window curtains open, and the lights are on. How can people say that I am supposed to stare at the dark street? It is human nature to look at the lighted window, especially if there is movement.Walking thru a neighborhood, looking at the gardens and nice houses, while staying aware of one's surroundings, is not the same as peering into private windows.
When we sit on our front porch in our rocking chairs, we greet and chat to our neighbors as they walk by. We don't expect to see any of them walking down the street with eyes straight ahead like military marchers. People walk by glancing around so they can say "hi" to their neighbors. We greet the mailman, meter reader, UPS and FEDEX deliverers, and anyone passing by.
It's normal to look around in a friendly way. As neighbors, we also look out for each other. It's not like strangers staring into windows.
I like privacy. I don't have any desire to display what I'm doing to other people.so why you want to close your curtains if you don't walk naked in your house at 5:30am?

I do take showers and get dressed for work at 5:30 a.m., and prefer not to show off for the person delivering my newspaper, or the kids waiting for the school bus.
We spend time in our living room and kitchen at night, so of course we close the curtains at night.he was naked in his kitchen, brewing some coffee and that's where they saw him. I doubt you walked around naked in your kitchen so that's the issue.
Closing your curtain in your own bedroom makes sense cuz there's a lot of privacy thing going on in there but living room? kitchen? c'mon...... it was just wrong place at the wrong time.

High rise is still not sidewalk level. People aren't walking past the upper levels of a high rise. They aren't using binoculars.but still not naked. lot of people here at high-rise in NYC do not have curtains or they rarely close the curtains. we can pretty much see the activity going on in there (not always but still)

Why am I reminded about the naked neighbour besides Monica's apartment in the TV show Friends?
Why didn't he close his curtains the night before he went to bed? We close our window coverings at sunset.

Fine. If you don't close the curtains, expect that people can see you. If you don't want privacy, then don't complain if someone reports you standing naked in front of your window in public view.
They aren't trespassing if they can see you from the street.complain that they're trespassing, then.
