Does that mean we should totally disregard those who aren’t??? Does that mean that those of us with different morals should be subjected to offensive material on a daily basis? Common courtesy, please!
I find it interesting how some of us here have changed our tunes in the past two years regarding children. Have we lost so much respect for the younger generation? How about the older generation? Would you want your grandmother to see what some of us are posting????

My kids are awake at least 16 hours of the day, do those hours not count?

well well unforuantely, blame those movies, television, and real-action sexuality exposures,. kids already know what's really happening in this world. there's nothing we can to keep it on censorships since sex ed 101 is already in academy system.

Kids in school shouldn't even be in this forum or any other forum in the first place. If they're going to be on the computer, they're going to be typing up a paper or doing research on official websites... not forums. Forums are not official or appropriate references for papers.
They may not SHOULD, but they DO.
Also, the school can't really touch AllDeaf for these kind of pictures. If they could, they would have to shut down Google, Yahoo, MSN, and many other forums.
The schools can’t do anything to AllDeaf but cut back on the use of the site by students, which incidentally are future members.

As for signature with memory to honor people who death anniversary as the membership's wishes. It does not bother me at all. As for the sexuality in the avatars or signatures bother me alot. I am very fond of Princess Diana. I used to be put save screen on my computer every year. It is almost 9 years ago. Princess Diana passed away. Now, I stopped to doing this.
This poll is only regarding avatars/signatures with sexual content, not memorial sigs.
As for the emoticons, I am more concerned with the avatars and signatures because they are posted each time an individual posts, whereas the emoticons are not.

Yes, and some here have proven that they are not capable of acting in a mature and considerate fashion. That is why society at large, has laws we must follow and consequences when we do not. AD needs some governing policies in effect for those unable to govern themselves, as well.

As I just stated, Alex wants and values our opinions and suggested the poll. And, since the MAJORITY of us seem to prefer the idea of boundaries, maybe you might reconsider where you would prefer to post.. I highly recommend the Penisarium, as it seems to be right up your ally.
Then I don't see how my avatar will cause sexual arousal.... fer chrissake, we cannot keep the kids from seeing the anatomy because they have already seen elsewhere! I've seen mommies breast-feeding their babies and changing babies' and kids' diapers in public. Babies and kids go swimming naked. Lighten up, will ya?
Maybe I should have clarified my options here, because many of us are offended by such varying degrees. I started this whole topic because I was offended by one individuals need to share her bedroom experiences on a constant basis through her signature. I really do NOT want to know how your husband pleasures you and how horny it makes you AND I am not interested in seeing an animated contracting sphincter either. This is a far cry from some silly butt avatar.

As I stated in the other topic area, people come to alldeaf as their first glimpse into deaf culture. Is this really what we want them to see?
I hope other potential new members aren't turned off the same way I almost was.
