How to get rid of a Skunk?

whatever you do, just dont do it yourself. if you are sprayed you are pretty much screwed. the smell is bad in your house, just wait till it gets on you! i got sprayed once, and i stank of skunkpoo for two weeks! spending the money to hire someone is WORTH IT!

I don't smell it now. Maybe Pepe Le Pew left. Hubby buried the hole with crushed cinderblocks.

Keeping my fingers crossed!!

Plus.... It is not as cold tonight.

Geez! :roll: talking about an unwelcome guest.


Just hopes it doesn't come back. We are expecting another cold spell on Thanksgiving Day.
 
My old school teacher got sprayed with so bad odor from a skunk when she opened her car door in front of it. Her hubby had to buy 21 2 litre cans of tomato sauce then poured all of them into a bathtub where she had to bath there for two hours. All windows in her car had to be rolled down tin order to get fresh air into its interior.

I sure hope I do not go head to head with the critter!

Maybe I should invest in tomato juice in case!! :ugh:
 
I saw a skunk once at RIT and several times around here, including one time when I was within feet of one at night outside of my old apartment.

It's better to use the hydrogen peroxide recipe because it destroys the smell. The tomato juice just covers it up.

And I have a plush skunk. :D

It is indescribable, it got unique smell that nothing else can duplicate.

Let me try at my best, let us wear ONE PAIR of socks everyday in wet, hot shoe for about a month, take it out, it will reek (stinks) so bad. That sock has strong odor-like smell to it. Skunk is about 10 times that and more denser in scent than normal odor.

I would say it smell worst than an egg and bacon fart. :fart:

not always. It's not as effective as what they say but it HELPS reduce the smell.

WHAT!?!?!? not even once!?!? wow! so lucky! I smell dead skunk usually few times a month (roadkill). HHHHMMMMM............ have you ever smell rotten egg bomb? Put that together with burning tire.

Me too because I cannot smell! :eek3:

My friends who know I cannot smell, tend to tell me there is a skunk nearby and I tell them where it is in order to avoid it.

Last summer, I carried a box on the pathway from my friend's house. I became frozen when I saw a skunk scurried across the path about 30 feet ahead of me. I slowly walked back to the house and everybody in the house wondered why I came back. I frantically signed at them, "SKUNK! I DO NOT WANT TO GET CLOSER TO IT!"
