Yes, that is true until they no longer did benefit us enough. That is the whole point. We wore aids till aids didn't help, then we chose CI. End of it. That is our choice, and our surgeons/audi's choice.

My daughter could understand a handful of words, in a closed set (meaning she knew that it was one of the 12 words she had a picture of) with her hearing aids. It was not dishonest to give us aids because without them she couldn't even hear me yell her name. They did benefit her some, but now with her CI she can UNDERSTAND (not just hear) spoken language at regular conversational levels, without lipreading. That is much better.

She wasn't unclear at all. The term "aided" means using hearing aids. That is a simple statement that I think all people even a little familiar with hearing loss would understand.

methinks so. iavswn's post begins with addressing you and iavswn's agenda is same as jasin's. If you recall previously - jasin accused Reba of fraud regarding interpreting service.... and now he's accusing you of getting CI out of taxpayer's money.

nope.

i qualified for my ci's fair and square. if jasin has a problem with that, he can discuss it with my ci surgeon and/or audi...but given the fact that i was evaluated at the largest ci center in the midwest, i think it's safe to assume that they actually know what they're doing.
 
GMTA!! Seems we are all thinking that very thing. And just like jasin, iavswn only sees what he chooses to see in a persons response.

I understand your point. It is a valid point too. However, hear again clearly stated she was benefiting from their use.

OMFG! how many times do i have to say it???? i benefitted from hearing aids before 2000 and only before 2000.
