Hernandez--Guilty

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/05/31/aaron-hernandez-is-running-out-of-money/

"Complicating matters is that Hernandez has been unable to sell his house in North Attleboro, due to the wrongful-death civil lawsuits filed by his three alleged victims. The home, purchased by Hernandez for $1.3 million in November 2012, could eventually be sold to provide compensation to the families."

According to this web site I am right , his house could be "sold to provide compensation to the families."
yes only if he's broke. I see in the article that he may attempt to recover his $3.25 million signing bonus. if not... then yes his assets will be seized and sold but that would take a very long time to process.

8Well, my ex co worker is millionaire, he had to run affordability test for legal cost, he passed the test meaning he is required to pay for legal fees, he has to get his own attorney, not public defender. He was charged and plea guilty to felony charge, got too lenient sentence.

3 years for molesting couple young girls. I just cant believe he is the one. Damn!

I don't think so. that would be illegal. that can only happen if he's not able to pay it with his own cash. his lawyer will be handling his estate and that includes everything.

look at OJ Simpsons. Some of his assets were seized and sold because he was unable to pay for everything.

His bank and assets were frozen because he had nearly unlimited means to flee the country. He most likely did have access to his bank but his finance was closely monitored and had to be approved by court to pay for expenses such as legal fee, loan payments, etc.

You are grossly racist.

Nope, what she means is that Aaron may think he can get away with it because he is rich and white. Call it racist? Not really, its Aaron's own attitude toward to justice as she sees it.

Perhaps his thinking of OJ whose as rich as him that got away with it.

Well, he thought he could use the white privilege to get himself free. No such luck. Too bad, Hernandez.

No, he just expected to get off the same way O.J. Simpson did - nearly decapitating two people and getting away with murder by convincing a jury of his peers, they just wanted the black guy. In the end, it was yet another celebrity running from justice. Hernandez thought it'd swing the same way for him - only incredibly, his love of thugs and posing with guns actually came back to bite him....I'm sure he'll make time for interviews asking the public to "look for the real killer."

When the 'guilty verdict was read Hernandez mouthed the word 'Wrong'.
And he told the cops in jail the jury got it wrong. He is already trying to convince people he is innocent .

Any money he does get should go to his victims or used to pay for the cost of his trial.

I read that his contract has been cancelled so he will not get any more money.

Hernandez will have plenty of bitches (boy toys)in the joint for his pleasure..no worries there...

Who does want to lose their money?

BTW he used to own two Land Rovers. Not anymore.

um.... you're telling me that he rather get a crappy public defender than get a good lawyer to get him out of jail?

sorry - not buying it.

that's what the Patriots say but we'll see. the lawyers will bicker it out.

Thats not what I am saying

Court will check to see if u can afford private attorney and legal fees. If they see u can afford, they wont let public defender take ur case.

Do I Have a Right to a Public Defender?
By Andrew Lu on August 21, 2012 9:04 AM

If you watch television, the one Constitutional right you're bombard with everyday is your right to an attorney. But just because a cop will tell you, "...If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be appointed to you ...," does this really mean you have a right to a public defender?

Well, if you financially qualify, the answer is "yes."

The right to the assistance of counsel is given in the Sixth Amendment and repeated forever with a policeman's reading of the Miranda rights. Still, whether you qualify for the free assistance of counsel may depend upon the rules in your state or county.

Generally, the Constitution just gives you the right to have legal counsel if you are charged with a crime. It does not necessarily mean you have the right to free counsel -- or the right to use a public defender -- especially if you are wealthy and can afford an attorney on your own.

As a result, most counties have financial restrictions on just who can use the services of a public defender. For example, some counties may require that your income be at or near the poverty level or that you don't have enough assets to afford an attorney.

Also, even if you have the right to a public defender, you should know that in some jurisdictions, a public defender is not necessarily free. States are increasingly imposing fees on indigent criminal defendants, including fees for the public defender. Sometimes defendants have to pay the fees even if they're acquitted of the charges.

This is from attorney website, note the green font...

BTW, do you recall OJ Simpson was stuck with massive legal bills? He is responsible for these legal bills EVEN though he was acquitted. Same goes with Michael Jackson as well.

did you even read it? you've said it a million times.... he's a millionaire. have you figured it out yet?

and I fail to understand why you can't understand why would a millionaire rather get a public defender to decide on his fate.

mind-boggling... a million dollar question.... forget it. time to move on. *smh*

No, the point is some think rich people get away with it, think could use free public Defender.

This is not saying that he wants use public defender, I am simply pointed out that since he is rich, he has to pay for legal fees and that is fact, period. Right? Which part is wrong "He has to pay legal fees because he can afford"

you know why people get rich? because they're not stupid.

so when they get busted... their best chance is to either wiggle their way out of it based on technicality or get the best plea bargain possible. for that... you'll need $$$$ lawyer(s).

so what happens if you get a public defender? everybody knows a public defender is crap. it's pretty much a guarantee that you're gonna get a crap deal. so why would a rich person puts his fate on crappy lawyer's hands? why? whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy? WWWWHHHHHYYYYYYY????

your ex-coworker didn't murder anyone. all he did was molesting some kids. his first thought would be getting the best deal possible, right? he got a very lenient deal. can he get that with a public defender?

Public defender does not necessarily means they are crappy, sometimes its still better than private one.

Felony is felony period does not matter sex or murder, felony still means felony. Do u have issue having me sharing what I learn in the past. ur so unreal!
