Ah.....let the record reflect poster refuses to substantiate her post......again

Be it moved that poster's posts be dismissed as unsubstantiated drivel until said poster complies to the generally accepted courtesy of supporting one's statement in the interest of compelling and productive debate.

Let the record reflect that the poster refuses to be held to standards not enforced for all posters.

Also, let the record reflect that the poster has better things to do with her time than repeatedly provide the same citations because another poster feels they are entitled to have said poster do their work for them.

Also, let the record reflect that providing a means for the questioning poster to answer their questions is substantiation. Information has been provided that will allow you to access the information requested. If one is too lazy to do the work to answer their own questions, the record should reflect such.

If you have better things to do than support your statements then maybe you shouldn't make those statements until you have more time available to complete them. Although you do seem to have plenty of time available for posting snide insults at other ADers.

I didn't make a statement that required support. When I quote something, or take an excerpt directly from a source, citation will be provided. If someone is asking for something that is readily available to them with a little effort, the effort is for them to make. I pointed toward the means. That is all that is required.

This "Link, please" and "source, please" is a silly game that gets played when someone doesn't have an answer and is unwilling to look for it themselves. There are specific requirements for providing citations. I follow those without question. Just because a poster wants to throw out a challenge and is not even the slightest bit interested in accessing the information does not fit that criteria.

Snide posts get snide replies. Again with the double standards.

Onus is upon the poster to support their statements..... Otherwise it is just opinion. And you know what they say about opinion.

We can ask The Write Alex but I am pretty sure if his students turned a paper without support he would consider that paper lazy and sloppy. Worthy of a poor grade.

Sure you did. You said "it's been proven many times" Well..... where is the proof you speak of???

I supported it. I offered you the means to find the answer to your question. That is all that is necessary. A link or a citation is not required unless I have taken something directly from a document.

Depends on the type of paper. An opinion paper does not require citations, references, or a bibliography. Might want to study up a bit on paper writing and criteria for referencing and citing before you go much further with this.

Actually, I said it had been disproven many times. And you can find the proof by using the search feature. The statement that it has been disproven many times is not a statement that requires a citation or a reference. It is a general statement, not a specific reference to a specific document.

However, since you did attempt to quote me, I'm going to have to demand that you cite me and reference it.

It all comes down to credibility. There are some posters I take at their word because of their previous accuracy. You feel the need for jillio to have cites and sources for almost everything she says, and that is your choice (others might say "problem") Not everyone insists on it though. Oh well.

Subjective and unscientific!!

Actually it is a movie quote.....but it should have been this rather than the

If it was a movie quote, you are required to cite and reference. Source, please.
