lol oh dear oh dear... as Reba said... if you are using a quote button - you don't need to add /quote but if you are manually copying-pasting a quote or modifying a post... it starts with quote and ends with /quote
again... the numbers don't lie but your calculation and assumptions are incorrect.
you don't know for sure if it's only 7%. I believe there are a lot more. and you can't even answer my question on how many states where do these "7%" lives in. you keep saying that I said "many people" when in fact I've never said that.

Seb was correct.
This next link shows that even though there's 13 mil hunters that not every single one of them go back to hunting year in and out. Actually, about 37% of the guys and 15% of the females does. This link comes with all sorts of interesting information regarding hunters and their backgrounds.

Jiro, I still feel that you were a bit too general on your statement back in this thread somewhere:
In bold. You're claiming that every single person in these not so few states doesn't buy meat at the grocery while the data shows the states with the highest density of hunters are few, not the other way around.do you realize that only few states actually go out to grocery to buy meat? that "few" states are the one with major cities - disillusioned and disconnected from the reality. the saddest part? they throw away such wasteful amount of food. what a tragedy.
many states hunt to eat and make their own stuff... and many states defend themselves because 911 would take over 30 minutes to get to you.
As far as I know by visiting family in rural PA, NY, VA, WV - there's plenty of shoppers buying meat at the grocers.
Take my family for example in Petersburgh, NY - look it up - they still hunt AND buy meat at the grocers the next state over.
