haha well you are most welcome Jiro for the workout:P ...i like science advancements...esp when cures can be made for such things that are LIFE THREATENING or DEBILITATING like Cancer, MS, Leukemia, etc i do not think think deafness should be a priority at the moment if people do want a cure (then great for you when it comes) or close to it wear an effing hearing aid or two or get a CI to HELP YOU HEAR and if you can't get either than learn to deal just like everyone else does oh and ASL would be a great tool as well...but for those of us who are a part of Deaf culture and who are Ddeaf or hoh or even hearing, who don't see deafness as an oh my effing god my life is over moment, we would like to be left alone with what WE feel is right and such.

Blindness isn't life threatening although research is being done in this area for a cure.
 
so and ask most ppl who are born blind and see if they want a cure some do some don't but u don't go on a forum where many people are Ddeaf and apart of the DEAF community you are going to get many ppl who are gonna be pissed off at this stupid question. Most ppl are fine with how they were born and what they know. .. I am late deafened and i LOVE being deaf and I came to terms with my deafness a long time ago..it's not the end of the effing world!

Yet we have 7 out of 17 who are against a cure for deanfess which is against any science having to do with work on curing deafness. In this case it'd be in the field of biotechnology/medicine front.

yes because most of us aren't answering the actual poll!! HELLOOOOOOO ...open you're eyes your in an AllDeaf forum where mostly ppl are fine with their deafness...go make ur own forum for goodness sake

If that was the case then we'd see a plethora of "No's" results over the "Yes's". The poll is only a few hours old. Give it a few more days or a full week to see how it pans out.

You thought? but.... since when AD was exclusively for deafies? Who said that? This is why we all encourage you to attend deaf events or interact with deaf community or to even interact with us in AD.... In case you didn't notice - AD already has welcomed CODA, hearing parents with deaf kids, CI/HA, Ddeafies, terp, hearing students interested in learning ASL, etc.

It's too bad that you wasted more time on pissing us off than getting to know of us.... :aw:
