Declaration of Occupy Wall Street

Your link says they were seeking an agreement with OPD that they would follow policy.... Nothing about never using dispersal agents.

That was the initial story. OPD already entered into a settlement agreement on this class action lawsuit. The settlement is what I am referring to.

You aren't? I thought you were claiming these people were engaging in illegal behavior, and that they started throwing objects provoking the cops. Hmmm...I'm sure I saw that somewhere.:hmm:

One learns to avoid certain trees when hiking in the rain forests. :giggle:

I go to the store quite often and it must be pointed out that once those bottles and jars are opened they need to be put in a fridge so they won't spoil. It's more practical to buy powdered milk or things that don't need to be refrigeratored if you're going to be protesting for the long haul. There are Coke in glass bottles but i think buying a 2 liter coke would be the better deal.

Oh my..... Bottles and gas at a protest. How could it be? Must have been a gas station close by for this spur of the moment activity.

And the settlement says they will never ever use tear gas again?

Ahem, at dispute is what hit Scott Olsen. I am not guessing on that. You are. But you knew that. :)

And as Steinhauer showed you, even the occupests admit they were throwing rocks and bottles.

Find it and read it. You really are becoming too high maintenance. You want everyone to do it for you.

Umm, you are the one making the claim....

Two things though

A) I am certain that OPD didn't give up their right to use crowd dispersant. Why would they give up more than the Grant protesters were seeking?

B) Being that the officers on the front line were Sheriffs (Clearly seen in the video) It's doubtful they would be bound by and agreement made by OPD

Yep. And the settlement backs me up. Don't believe it, oh well.

There were 16 different police forces represented in Oakland. They were all warned that they had to follow the policies of the Oakland Police Dept.:cool2:

You have my posts in black and white regarding what I have said. I hate redundance. And again, I have no desire to do it for you. Look for them and see what they say.

Fighting with the cops is hardly the intent of the OWS protest. Even though the conservative right wants to make it appear that way. Perhaps they are the ones planning and throwing objects?:cool2:

A New York police officer's union is threatening to sue Occupy Wall Street protesters if any more of its 5,000 members are injured during demonstrations, the New York Post and New York Observer are reporting. A union spokesperson told the outlets that the union, NYPD's Sergeant’s Benevolent Association, says that over 20 officers have been injured in related Occupy protests. "Any assault on a police officer is not only punishable as a felony in the State of New York, but will also be met with swift and certain legal action by the SBA, which will seek monetary damages against any individual who causes injury to a New York City Sergeant," said the president of the group, Ed Mullins.

Nah you have been saying actions.

Anyway, Yes or No..... Is the Oakland Police Dept banned from using tear gas due to the Oscar Grant settlement. No reason to go back. Just 3 letters or 2.

Yes, I have. If you know what I have said, why do you keep asking me to repeat it?

You have said actions which is pretty general. That could refer to them not being allowed potty breaks. (Which I would agree is wrong) The question is specific. Is it your claim that Police gave up the right to use tear gas in the Oscar Grant settlement.

Simple yes or no will do...

Wow, new catch phrase! Way to go! Guess I can begin to use "Teabagger" without shame. Or should I?

No thanks.

occuPESTS..... LOL!!!!

The problem with yours was it also carries a vulgar meaning. But, it's a free country. Occupest is pretty fitting though. Their stated goal is to be pests until they get their way.
