You haven't been to a grocery store lately? There are lots of products in glass jars and bottles, especially in the condiments and ethnic foods sections.

There are also non-alcoholic beverages in glass bottles, such as Snapple and soft drinks.

They must have been throwing pickle jars! How many cops ended up in the hospital with skull fractures?

You better go back and read the accounts of the case. You are making stupid mistakes again, because you aren't checking the facts before you start responding.

Maybe you had better go back and check the facts, especially the part about how it is a felony to throw anything at a police officer.

You are pitiful.

It is also illegal to use excessive force against unarmed citizens.

I go to the store quite often and it must be pointed out that once those bottles and jars are opened they need to be put in a fridge so they won't spoil. It's more practical to buy powdered milk or things that don't need to be refrigeratored if you're going to be protesting for the long haul. There are Coke in glass bottles but i think buying a 2 liter coke would be the better deal.

Still trying to villify the police ...

A police officer's job is to enforce the law and go home every night to their families. As badly as you want to break a few heads .... and encourage others to do so ....

Maybe I should stop right there - I told you this was a hole you wouldn't be able to climb out of.

I was thinking mayo jars but I just realized most of those are plastic now that think about it.

Answer the question. How many cops are in the hospital with skull fractures resulting from this incident?

er the actions of the cops speak for themselves.

Sweetie, you are the only one in a hole. Says a lot that you don't even realize it.:laugh2:

I guess I missed the part that said everyone at the protest was a conscientious shopper.

BTW, not all jarred or bottled products need to be opened or refrigerated immediately. :)

All I said was that there are still glass bottled products on the market now. They aren't all antiques. It's not a big deal.

I won't bother reading the previous pages. Full riot gear vs a glass bottle is still no match. Shame on the police. :(

There you go. The threat was not proportionate to the action taken.

True. But how likely is it they would buy these things and take them to protests? I can only think of things like canned chipped beef, nuts in jars (it's cheaper to buy them in bags) and preserves and canning jars off the top of my head. I think throwing canning jars is a waste of perfectly good jars.

Exactly. Context, people, context.

So? What do you think an impact hard enough to have fractured his skull after being hit would have done to his body as he lost muscle tone from being stunned? It would have spun his body in the opposite direction (eg, toward the protestors). Like I said, simple matter of physics.:cool2:

 It's possible as I myself pointed out. The fact is we have no way of knowing for sure. Fracture may have happened when his head hit the ground too. :dunno:
