thanks, ocean.
i never attacked the op. if she hates ci's, she has every right to feel that way.
And it always turns out badly?
I'll see if PM will handle it. Its about an 18 pager.
Nothing is always.
And why I spoke up as well. And if you read the most recent posts from damienmommy, she has clarified the fact that others totally misunderstood what she was saying, and therefore, attacked her on nothing more than their gut reaction instead of trying to relate to her.[/QUOTE]
And that seems to be a big problem that occurs between the Deaf and hearing communities about each other.

No, of course you didn't. But she was attacked very early on and then later in the thread.
oh, okay. i just wanted to make sure people didn't think i was attacking her. i support her decisions 100%.
Nothing is always.
I feel a lot of despair sometimes.
Oh u werent! Someone else was.
As Bott was requesting an opinion based on the conclusions found after a review of the research available, I do believe that was my question to answer. And the answer is there are consistent negative effects.

Which is why I pointed out earlier that an understanding and fluency in ASL and experience in communicating with ASL users made her post easier to understand for some of us, and why some posters were interpreting it incorrectly.
Not to despair Bott. We just have to keep working to make people, no matter how much they don't want to hear the sad facts, pay attention to them so future children will be at an better advantage.

He asked always, so answer the question. Do all mainstreamed deaf kid end up with social issues?

Until you pointed it out and after all these attacks, I realized that I understood her on the spot without even thinking twice about it. I find it interesting for myself because I am a late ASL user.
