This one came to my mind. If Obama went to Afghanistan to visit the troops and the tablian sitting in the mountains drinking tea and chewing khat realized Air Force One has landed. Later that night, suddenly a raging battle at 0200 hours takes place.

Would Obama be able to pronounce the word " Corpsman Up " correctly as he is helping the troops ?

He gets back to the White House after a very harrowing experience and he keeps repeating in his mind that he wished he pronounced the word Corpsman Up correctly ?

This is the animated gif that came to my mind.

He is very lucky in that respect that he didn't make that mistake in a life and death situation. As the CinC, he is expected to know the military terminology.

THAT IS PART OF HIS JOB AS THE POTUS and that is what the press rehearsals and the teleprompter are there for.

If I was president, I would fail just because I wouldnt be getting enough sleep at all.

Thats why I give him the slack. No big deal.

That would be understandable if this was at the beginning of his presidency but almost 2 years into the POTUS, He should have known the military terminology by now as the Commander in Chief.

Where's US constitution that require to have military experience to run for US president?

He does know the terminologies of the military.

Go ahead, dont sleep for three days and tell me if you can speak anything correctly.

Why didn't President Obama sleep for three days? Where did you read that?

Are you are implying that I said that ? I never said that.

Military experience obviously would have its advantages as the CinC.

He does not have any military experience, only politician experience and he has only met with the general two times since becoming president.

I am not impressed with Obama's performance as the CinC. In fact I have heard that Obama is more anti-military than Bill especially Hillary Clinton was.

He would have gotten some sleep as much, even if he has not slept in days. He is still expected to act as the Commander in Chief.

If you really want to know who does not get any real sleep ? The submarine captain and the officers don't get that much sleep yet, they act in a professional military manner.

Obama can do better than that, in fact many presidents have done a better job on little or no sleep and several presidents went onto do great things for this country.

Well, presidential candidate has mixed of experience and qualification so no one would perfect, also 2008 election is kinda sucks.

How does he is anti-military since he sent 30,000 troopers to Afghan?

For me, I don't see any difference on between Bill Clinton and Obama because I'm not happy about Clinton's handling in Somalia in 1993 since he abandoned the mission after several troopers died but for Obama, he hasn't abandon the missions in Iraq or Afghan after had many military deaths.

Like I said to Reba, I have admit that Obama isn't good president at overall, just same as Bush does so it sounds like we don't have perfect presidents, despite about my voting on Obama in 2008, even I was McCain supporter until he picked Sarah Palin so that turned me off and went voted Obama instead.

Change

Well many of you voted for change and I guess we are getting it but don't think it is the change many of us wanted. No I did not vote for his highness and unlike the poster above, I was happy to see Palin in there. She is the ONLY one with common sense. I know some are upset with her for resigning her job in Ak. What many of you don't realize, by doing that she saved the state of Ak. between 3 and 30 million $ in frivolous law suits. She did an outstanding job as Gov. of the state. Took on big business and both political parties and just did what made good sense. How many governers, after a couple of years in office can point to 80% positive records with the consitituents.

I dunno about you but I wouldn't be surprised if that 80% rating came from Palin's friends and family members. I mean.... you're talking about Alaska with population of barely 700,000 people.......

And the Bears......don't forget the Bears.

Alaskans are pretty down to earth good people. I would expect Palin to be pretty popular there.

So you admit that Obama wasn't sleep-deprived when he made his gaffes?
I said that I wouldn't put it past him that he can be sleep deprived.

I only say 3 days for the poster I was talking about so we can get an insight.

Being a president = work 24/7 constantly. You're never off. Really - I think many many people underestimate how busy the guy is. He's all over the place, giving interviews, giving presentations, making crucial decisions, and many other things. He's still a human after all. There really is no need to get all over him on such triviality. At least we all KNOW he has the smarts to be a president. Let's take it easy.

Foxrac, you do not understand the significance of what the CinC's decisions have an enormous impact on military families.

You are not from the military world because if you were then you would understand exactly what I am talking about.

There are things that you and me both would understand from being in the Deaf world right ? Nothing else needs to be said because it is natural from being in the Deaf world.

Just as you used to debate about the glbt issues and there are some things I will never understand about the glbt world like you do.

Foxrac, Give it a rest. The CinC was wrong to continue mis-pronouncing things that he should have known two years into his job as the POTUS. I may not agree with Obama but he is still the CinC whether I like it or not. I do respect the CinC title but he certainly does not have my respect, military-wise. I hope you can understand and appreciate that.

Excuse me, I do have some knowledge about US military because my father is retired veteran after 20 years in service at Marines and he told me the stories about US military.

You seems not understand about my post, I have nothing to against on CinC, even I do know about CinC so no question asked.
