CI--Deaf or Hearing?

Perhaps you would enjoy a picnic on a sun porch. Hats are optional, but pie is required.

That could be, although a winter picnic with a camp stove would be my preference.

A good drink for this occasion would be heated Dr. Pepper. My stepmother used to make this for me in the 1960's after sledding.

Bott- I like your "non sequitur" sense of humor. You've been particularly funny the last few days.

flies outside would be bothersome, true.

I have been without a pasty for 17 years

but someone check my math.

I will assume that you are referring to a "pasty" as in pie and not the pasty as in garment appropriate for exotic dancers.

I cannot recall where I read it in this site, something about CI users being shunned by the Deaf community. That is certainly not what I saw last week at a social gathering. I was struck by how patient the interaction was between CI users trying to sign with older Deaf people. I watched for a long time, utterly mesmerized, until someone asked me if I was high. :giggle:

my husband loves those "blooming onion" fried things

and he has a wide-brimmed sun-hat for when he's outside

one could eat a wide variety of pies outside while wearing many types of hats.....

I'm the Mad hatter eating all kind of pies like Robin Pie and a Bat pie. I'm trying on a wide range of hats before returning to my trusty hat.

Thanks! I believe my family first remarked upon this in the year 1965.'

I was the year I hung a snake on the door of my vacationing friend. His mother was the one who opened the door on their return home.

She did not share our humor.

I love heated Dr. Pepper. I have been drinking it since 1971. I have also enjoyed hot chocolate with peppermint snapps, but only since 1976. It would have been illegal for me prior to that. I have an old fashioned stocking cap that I wear when sledding, but the date I made it has escaped me!

Dr. Pepper? I hate that stuff so much that even when I'm going thur caffine withdrawal, I will pour the stuff down the sink. I just can't stand it.

Yes, that was a post made several pages back on Mon, July 25, I believe.

It is not the experience of most. That would appear to be an accusation intended to discredit the tolerance and acceptance found within the Deaf community.

On this day, at this hour, we are leaving to take our dogs to the groomers. It should be noted I am sorry to miss participating in the evolution of this thead.

It sounds too good to me! i prefer beef or pork, not veal.

I live in Quebec - you can get tourtiere pie at about 6 different locations all within two blocks of my apartment and every bakery makes their own and sells them. Definitely a very common staple here and it's traditionally served with carrots, peas and mashed potatoes with gravy on the side, and sometimes served just with chutney sauce and salad. But even when I used to eat meat, I avoided tourtiere pie because of the veal.

One must make changes to one's fashion statement from time to time. I thinik July 27, 2011 would be a perfect date for trying on various hats.

Don't tempt me! There are fewer bakery here and far away from my home. Yummy.

I don't eat veal.

Yes, oh yes. Batman and Robin won't be there to stop me.

I prefer my cobbler in a bowl. But you are entitled to your preference of having cobbler on the sun porch, as well. Diversity is good for the soul. As of November 1, 1954.

Ok, I admit my obession with all things from the Regency period. I blame Jane.
