Note the bold section.
What exactly does that have to do with the date that drphil received a meningitis vaccine?
Note the bold section.
I just couldn't see where the comment regarding meningitis would come from. No one has even mentioned it. He might as well have said, "I like pie."

Note the bold portion above. No sense in "backpedaling" it's "all there in black and white for everyone to see".
I like apple pie with vanilla ice cream
I like cherry pie with vanilla ice cream. I like cheddar cheese with my apple pie!
I ate a piece of cherry pie on July 23rd, 2011.

so after reading bunch of threads... what is your conclusion you have reached - Is the term "Deaf Militant" negative or positive?
Rabies trumps tetanus...
I know you are directing this to CSign but I want to answer that question. It is just a smear that the hearing people put on the Deaf people because they don't want to lose their power over the Deaf people and especially the Deaf education. I don't care if they call me Deaf Militant as long as we gain our rights in education, job, and family.
I like blackberry cobbler with cream, but I don't think my tentanus is up to date. Guess I'd better be careful.
Can I ask, what is it that you would have done differently?
Can I ask- why would I respond to any more questions about my personal life when I'll just be labeled an Audist? It doesn't matter what I write- a select few will take it, twist it, stomp on it, eat it, then spew the hatred, nastiness and venom on to me. It seems I cannot write much about this subject without people reading into what isn't there.
Last time someone seemed sincere, I gave a genuine response. To which people took that and ran with it, throwing me in the Audism corner.
No thank you. I have no interest at this point in engaging in further conversation about my choices because no matter what I say, it will be misinterpreted to suit the needs of those who like to think that all (but one) hearing people are Audist.
One of the most predominant is how accepted behaviors that differ from hearing society are necessary for the Deaf/deaf. Such as touching to get someone's attention. The hearing have very strict boundaries regarding touching. It is necessary, however, if you are Deaf/deaf. Another is the lack of willingness in the hearing society to actually accommodate the Deaf/deaf, even though the hearing society is responsible for the creation of those social barriers. Many talk about having empathy or understanding, but few demonstrate in in real life.
Actually, they make us learn to speak so we can accommodate them. Irony, isn't??
