Child Dragged Into Water By Alligator At Disney

I am afraid to go near the water in Florida! Poor family!
 
Insane. If there were No Swimming signs in this area what is the boy doing so close to or in the water ? Those signs are there for a reason.
 
The no swimming signs do no give any other information. The family was from Nebraska so they may have thought it was only due to no lifeguard on duty. If they were not familiar with Florida they may have had no idea of the alligator threat.
 
you know ... I have tried telling people who are not from Florida about these kinds of hazards ... about how everything in Florida is trying to kill you. They look at me like I am crazy.


This is sad. Gators are sneaky.

looking at the photos of the area, it seems the movie area is very very close to the water..
they have signs
but gators dont obey signs

why they would have a movie area so close to water when known dangerous creatures are around is anybodies guess

this thinking certainly helped me through some nights wandering through little haiti...

i was more concerned over humans..(they appeared to be anyweay, who really knows what they where)

Saw this on the News and had to switch the channel...OMG!...horrible! and breaks my Heart. Had a heard time trying to get to sleep also...
As for that giant Gator that was spotted on a golf course, I did read last week that they finally captured it...and guess what?...they relocated the monster!....Why do we need Gators roaming on golf courses and the Beaches?...Nuts!...Gator meat is good, tastes like Chicken and I would have no problem killing one....Again, feel so sad and sorry for the family of the child....Horrible death.

Why do WE need to over build and take away the land from the animals?
 
I'm not surprised about Florida but Louisiana has far more alligators than in Florida.

I'm sorry for their families and they should follow no swimming sign.
 
There is a Lake near Osteen, Fla. where you can literally walk across because of all the gators.

I may have been there. Di they have all these bridges that you walk on ? I'm thinking that was the Everglades but I don't remember for sure
