How do you feel that People say that Deafies are not allowed to marry? Their main concern is that they are afraid that our deaf genes will be out of control.

They want to ban Deaf Marriages, They will pass the laws to ban any Deaf person to marry other Deaf people.

How do you feel? You think it is totally wrong. That's what Gays feel. It is totally wrong.

Remember the Inter-racial marriages. How did they feel about Blacks marrying other Whites? Do you know how much risks Blacks facing nightmares if Whites find out they are inter-racially married. Uhm...

So, I beg the difference about gay marriages. It is really silly but everyone has the right to marry. Why taking LAWS on Gays for what???????

It takes years for each state to accept. For how long ? I don't know. But, there's some things that really upset me to learn about somethin'. I really don't want to say it here, because I am gettin' tired of some ADers callin' me " paranoid " or what ever and I refused to show it to gay.lesbian people here -- to help them to know what's goin' on about the future. I clam myself up and let them to suffer without knowin' what it really is. Some of ADers don't act their own age by insultin' me or sayin' that I just make it up. These articles I read are not my ideas or plans for people. Someone wrote the articles to TELL people or for the REVIEWERS to read...

Ok, this is blatantly off topic, but do you really have to try and convey an accent online? Seriously, try to seek out that G key and use it often... it's very annoying when you don't!

It is ridiculous for me to see that many people are upset over California's law, and not upset about other states.

If gay/lesbian people are not happy with California's law, move to Massachusetts, or any state/country that allow gay/lesbian marriage.

Not everyone could fits in Massachusetts or anywhere in New England.

Yes. Humans are humans. Humans have the same rights as Humans have the same rights. NOTHING COMPLICATES. That's all matters. Human is a human. Person is a person.

All sudden, One is black. Things changed. "They" rejected Blacks because of their skin. However, Black is a person, Black is a human. Why "They" complicated it? I beg the difference.

This would go with gays/lesbians. Gays and Lesbians are Humans. Gays and Lesbians are Persons. Why "They" complicated the whole thing? I beg the difference.

Blacks and gays, even Deafies can marry anyone who they love. Why "They" deny the rights? Blacks, Gays and Deafies are humans and person. We want the same rights that "They" have. "They" keep denying the rights. Why difference? So, we fought our ways. Blacks got it. Deafies got it. Why cannot Gays get it, too? We want the same things, do we? Do we need SPECIAL rights to get the same things? Simply, "They" made things complicated and made things worst for us. Now, we have to ask Congress to pass "special" rights to get the same thing that "They" have.

Oddly, isn't? Why do we need "special" rights to get the same thing? Why "They" make things complicated because of what? Are we not humans enough? Are blacks human enough to get the same thing? What about gays and lesibans, they are humans too.

I agree...everyone is human and making decisions about our lives shouldnt be controlled by "them". I think it is egostical of "them" thinking they are so special to have all the "rights" and deny others who are different from them the same rights. If only deaf, blacks, gay, and Hispanic could take control over "them" and strip them all of their rights and see how "they" feel! Give "them" a dose of their own medicine

Yup, I'm rather to live in south part of US (including southwest and southeast), except for deep south, however northeast, northwest and rocky mountain are alright but too cold for me.

When someone gets news online to paste here, it is still called " article ", isn't it ? I've read some ADers usin' the word " article " in some threads and you don't say to them to seek out that G key. Quit bashin' me. If, it annoys you, then don't bother!

Yep, Arizona and FL don't allow gay marriages either. You gotta admit that gay and lesbian people do pay taxes - Such a law like this makes people feel like second class citizens, and they are pissed off about it of course.. I don't blame them! :aw:

All we can do is to not support laws that make people feel like second class citizens with less rights than others.

Nope, I never knew that.

I'm mostly upset because the Mormon and Catholic churches conspired to pass Prop 8. If what I've read about the Mormons bussing people from Utah to California to encourage "yes" votes, then the proposition should be automatically null and void because this is voter intimidation and the people of Utah have no business sticking their noses in what people do in California.

This happened back in 2000 in Vermont where Fred Phelps and his Church came from Kansas to protest our Civil Union law. They should have keep their business to themselves. They were certainly not welcome in Vermont and we let them know loudly.

Contrary to what some Americans think, this is NOT Jesusland. This is the United States of America and I'll be damned if I let a bunch of religious nuts control the laws in any state.

In fact, if you want a country that follows strict Christian edicts, I suggest you form your own nation because when religion controls government, it ends like the Taliban.

Also, it is fundamentally wrong to deny gays and lesbians the same privileges and rights as heterosexuals. If you think it's right to do that, I encourage you to look within yourself and ask yourself how you would feel if heterosexuals were not allowed to marry each other.

this is somehting thats always made me confused, if 2 men or women want to have a relationship then what the hell has it got anything to do with us>>? what people choose to do in their own time is of no consequence of mine, nor interest, when i meet someone for the first time i dont care what their sexual preference is, why should I? im comfortable about mine and couldnt care less about anyone elses, the people that are trying to ban it are mostly religious freaks attempting to hold us in the dark ages, or people scared of their own sexual preference

Bet you that they wouldn't understand it.

We should start making laws to ban interracial marriages and interfaith marriages!

Christians get all upset if their Christian kids marry non-Christian kids so why not make it illegal to marry non-Christians? Same with Muslims and Jews and athiests! No more interfaith marriages!

Whites get upset if their white kids marry black kids. Let's ban interracial marriages!

Same with gay marriage... they don't like if their kids marry the same sex.

They need to get over with it - it's NONE of their business to dictate HOW legal adults decide to enter a relationship.

Can you make up your mind?

You are contradicting yourself in your posts. Now you say that, "They need to get over with it - it's NONE of their business to dictate HOW legal adults decide to enter a relationship."

In a previous post, you stated this:

Religious beliefs mean absolutely NOTHING when it comes to laws. The court will NEVER take your religious belief into consideration, it wants to know WHY, from a secular and legal point of view, gay marriage should be illegal.

Now you want "them" to allow two consenting adults do what or how they enter a relationship, when you previously state that gay marriage should be illegal.

Then you turn it around and blame it on the gay/lesbian community:

If gays simply rephrase the term, "civil unions" instead of "gay marriage", no one would care.

I hope the court will throw out prop 8 based on illegal Constitution revision.

And...

I think the problem is that gay activists are using "gay marriage" instead of "civil union" because to many people, "marriage" means a woman and a man and they want to preserve that definition. They don't want marriage to be "redefined." In that case, I believe it makes sense and that's where gay activists are making a huge mistake. No matter how intellectual or technical a person may make for "gay marriage", he should NOT use "marriage" but rather "civil union."

I suspect most Americans will be ok if we call gay couples "civil union" even if gay couples are given the same federal rights that married couples get. They just don't like the idea of "marriage" being redefined.

Gays really blew it this time. But I also think the religious right wing is extremely mean-spirited and disrespectful to the gays.

Can you please clarify you contradictions in your posts on this topic?
