... i believe in sharing and not in greed...
I do too. But sharing is voluntary, not forced. If it's forced it's not truly sharing. Truth be told, I donate more of my money than I pay in taxes, so it's not a matter of being tight or greedy.

What is more desirable? Increasing (voluntarily) the wages of your employees so they can have improved life, or giving additional money (involuntarily) via taxes (minus bureaucratic service charges) to people who haven't earned it? Which would you rather receive--a raise in pay for work performed, or a handout from the government that reminds you that you're an inadequate provider?

def giving them their share and not leaving them feeling in need of charity, for me anyway

hear hear, : )

ps! my ancestor signed your declaration of independence(think his name is about third sig), we celts, the Scots and irish gave you freedom, yet we havent managed to aquire ours, yet.
but, it was also 2 scots that started the klu klux klan, for which I can only apoligise:mad:
We Americans appreciate the heritage of freedom that your ancestors provided us. :ty:

No need to apologize for the two rotten apples in the barrel; they were very few compared to the many noble Scots that came to America. Every ethnic group has its share of bad characters.

"Ah! Freedom is a noble thing!
Freedom makes man to have liking;
Freedom all solace to man gives;
He lives at ease that freely lives.
A noble heart may have none ease,
Nor aught besides that may him please,
If Freedom faileth."

yes i know reba, ye liked it that much ye drove us out:laugh2: and I would have too, or should i say we, if they didnt outnumber us 11 to 1 lol

and yes, we scots are very big on freedom, but also very big on socialism. it gets the biggest vote in any election.

ps reba, my familys motto(and clan badge) is, "in hope ah byde" our hope we will one day be free

so basically whats mine is mine, if i employ ten other people pay them little, keep the rest of the money for my pool, holiday villa, whilst other people cant even afford food to survive then thats ok?
I understand where yer coming from reba but im sorry i dont agree with it.
as for the record i am an employer, with my own business, before anyone points it out lol
but i am and always will be a socialist, i believe in sharing and not in greed, it's just so many small minds are still living in the dark ages and see socialism as commonism, and not sahring

that is a stereotypical view of capitalism. don't forget most of people (philanthropists) became billionaires/millionaires are because of capitalism. That way - we can help far more people than the riches from socialism can do. In fact - we have enough wealth to help those OUTSIDE our country. Bill Gates, Donald Trump, John Rockefeller, Warren Buffet, and HUNDRED of others.

It's better this way - that way we can control how and where the money is spent and also that way - we can greatly improve a singular objective rather than spread it thin.

>>If "nobody saw it coming" with Hitler, what makes you think people will "see it coming" with Obama? I tried to point it out here, and still "no one sees it coming." Some people are in such denial that they won't see the freight train "coming" until it hits them.<<

See what coming? What about what's coming if McCain is elected?

1. A President who has an uncontrollable temper.

2. A Vice-President named Sarah Palin (need I say more?).

3. Prolonged Iraqi war; possibility of conflicts in other nations/countries.

4. A President whose campaign was so poorly organized that it's a wonder he's currently receiving 42% of the national vote.

5. McCain's health. He's already had 4 relapses of cancer and many people are concerned about whether or not he will be healthy enough to complete a full 4 year term.

6. A President who favors the rich and considers a man who refused to pay his taxes ("Joe the Plumber") as a shining example of America's middle class.

I could go on, but that sounds bleak enough to me...

There's questions surrounding McCain's birth:
:hmm:
That was brought up a long time ago, and resolved.

All children born to American parents while one parent or both parents serves in the military overseas is an American citizen.

so how does that work for you then jiro/ why dont they all pay them a fair share, take a respectable earnings instead say like bill gates which cannot be described as anything other than obcene.
my point is, wealth is being unfairly distributed, leaving us with people who will neevr manage to spnd it withing their lifetimes, and people who are starving and begging, its not as easy as saying, well you could do it too, not all but most who are hoarding the money ahve had privilged upbringings and good education(and i do mean most so save your examples of a few)

i dont recall and cnat be bothered looking up the figure but isnt it around 5%of the polulation have all the money? is that or whatever the figure is justified(ps that might be the british figure)

... Heck, the SSN wasn't even supposed to be used for anything but social security back then. They actually promised that when they first brought out the SSN cards. But now they require you to provide your SSN as a form of identification at a lot of places which is completely unnecessary.
The original SS cards had printed on them "not to be used for identification". :hmm:

I am not following nor do i care of american policies but one thing i did see was obama saying he wants to end the war early, and mcain saying it would be criminal to pull out now before we finished what we started?, so i dont know what yer on about, unless the bbc are wrong(not rare) in their videos of their policies.
and for the record i would vote for mcain on that point, whats doen is done, right or wrong we ned to finish it for good.
but if i could vote in general, i'd vote osama. if for nothing more to give the racists a bloody nose

You know, Warren Buffet is an Obama supporter.

oh gee..... maybe work hard like everybody else to get wealthy? how about a good honest hard work for starter without being cuddled with? Again - you have a stereotypical view of capitalism and rich. that's understandable. You're probably bombarded with anti-capitalism propaganda for your whole life in there - could be subconsciously or subliminally.

If you have such a problem with how we spend our wealth - why don't you set an example for us and feed a large portion of Africans? oh wait.... you don't have enough money to distribute $$$ around... we can. :laugh2: You can say thanks to Bill Gates' foundation for that.

You know, Warren Buffet is an Obama supporter.

Buffet cares about America, not money. Maybe he thinks Obama is a right leader to put America back on track. Who knows? :dunno2:

Yeah, and he's giving most of his fortunes away.

Yeah, and he's giving most of his fortunes away.

yup there you go. He's not giving any single penny to his children because he believes in an honest hard work. Just saying not all capitalists are pig but the benefit is far greater than the socialist way. So Macian - you want to distribute your wealth around with a bigger impact? Capitalism is the way to go.

you mean like the kid i already sponsor jiro?
I'm sorry but you come over quite juvenile in your arguements/debates, perhaps im reading it wrong but i see no room for discussion, only point grabbing, if thats the case have all points, yer welcome to them.

At the rate we're going, there will *never* be a victory in Iraq. After all, how could there be when there are constant suicide bombings, beheadings, car bombings, etc.?

America was a much safer country before the Iraqi War.
