Black Republicans are running with a confidence

Why would MLK Sr associate himself with the Democrat party known at the time the KKK association? His son, MLK Jr would feel the same. Go argue with Dr. Alveda C.
King, niece of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Since you REFUSE to read it based on your reply:

Republicans championed civil rights in the 1950’s and 1960’s.

Republican President Dwight Eisenhower pushed to pass the Civil Rights Act of 1957 and sent troops to Arkansas to desegregate schools. Eisenhower also appointed Chief Justice Earl Warren to the U.S. Supreme Court which resulted in the famous 1954 “Brown v. Topeka Board of Education” decision that ended school segregation and the
“separate but equal” doctrine created by the 1896 “Plessy v. Ferguson” decision.

Much is made of Democrat President Harry Truman's issuing an Executive Order in 1948 to
desegregate the military. Not mentioned is the fact that it was Eisenhower who actually took
action to effectively end segregation in the military.

In 1958, Eisenhower established a permanent Civil Rights Commission that had been rejected by prior Democrat presidents, including President Franklin D. Roosevelt. Ignored today is the fact that it was Roosevelt who started blacks on the path to dependency on government handouts during the Great Depression with the promise of a “chicken in every pot” by Roosevelt with his “New Deal” that turned out to be a bad deal for blacks. Even though Roosevelt received the vote of many blacks, Roosevelt banned black American newspapers from the military because he was convinced the newspapers were communists.
Little known by many today is the fact that it was Republican Senator Everett Dirksen
from Illinois, not Democrat President Lyndon Johnson, who pushed through the 1964
Civil Rights Act. In fact, Dirksen was instrumental to the passage of civil rights legislation
in 1957, 1960, 1964, 1965 and 1968. Dirksen wrote the language for the 1965 Voting
Rights Act. Dirksen also crafted the language for the Civil Rights Act of 1968 which
prohibited discrimination in housing.

Not all democrats are associated with KKK but only people caused, not party itself.

You said that I refused because I don't believe this BS so you are HYPOCRITE.

I foresee that this thread is going to get closed.. :io:

Why the remark? Are you obsessed in keeping score or what? Do you actually believe blacks or people of other ethnic races cannot run as a Republican? Enlighten me.

kokonut, aren't you the one that posted this thread? With an article making note of there being black Republicans?

I agree, November will be interesting. I wonder how much influence Azizona will have in swinging votes.

A lot. Wait until Minnesota passes the same exact law .... and Tennessee .... and Georgia ...... and N and S Carolina ...... and New Mexico ..... and Texas (etc. etc.) expect California to do the same when the illegals move there from Arizona.

huh? what does it matter? why the big emphasis on "black"? black yellow white. all same to me. they're all crooks

yep. I agree. I have a bumper sticker that says "Don't blame me, I voted for the other crook".

I can use it for every election ;)

lol! good one!

No. Not in every thread. Nice exaggeration. This simply shows people that anybody can run as a Conservative or Republican and doesn't matter the skin color or ethnicity. Just like Jindal ran successfully for Governor of Louisanna. Or the fact that Djou is taking the lead in Hawaii in one district. Or the fact that this year all of a sudden you have a surge of black people running for Repubican seats. The question is why?

Don't let the rhetoric get to you. The Democrats were bragging about being the first party to have a black president now they are claiming color doesn't matter :Owned:

if Republican Party was "black-friendly" back in old time... especially since MLK worked with Republican...

wondering why Republican Party has never had any non-Caucasian Presidential candidate...

Alan Keyes?

I mean... Al Sharpton ran for it too... Walt Brown (a socialist).... and more...

All I am going to say is that FINALLY a "non-caucasian" is a president (its about friggin time).

I just wish it wasn't Obama :(

Also, when are we going to have a female president?

If you look at the history of women's suffrage - the elected presidents are going in the same order (i.e. all white men voted, then black men got the right to vote, THEN women).

was hoping for McCain & Hutchison but he had to pick Palin? c'mon..... you funny old fart...

The way I see it, the Republicans had the perfect opportunity to have the very first female black president but blew it. Bush could have resigned and the presidency would have been given to Cheney. Cheney then could have resigned and the presidency could then have been given to Condi :D

Cheney had Presidency for a very short period of time and that was the most frightening time of my life

Condi... I like woman with balls to wag her finger :nono: at anyone who wants it their way.

Blame on democrats, come on so GOP is just same too.

GOP wasn't same in prior to 1980's as today.

Probably the same degree it had in the last Presidential election.:P
