Based on a lot of facts.
Not all, most are opinion matters.

That's true no one knows who started racism.
Look to the days of the Egyptians when the Jewish people served as slaves. Racism exists in all race and has been like this for thousands of years. It's not just a black and white thing.
Just wondering here, should the Democrat Party owe blacks an apology for their past wrong doing? Be aware that a lawsuit was filed against the Democrat Party on December 10, 2004 that went all the way to the US Supreme Court for the demand of an apology on behalf of black Americans. Amazingly, under oath the admitted their history of racism yet Democrats refused to apologize afterwards! Their army of lawyers, used a legal technicality called “standing” in order to avoid a court order against them to force them to apologize. They did this knowing so as not to lose the black votes. Over time this will simply backfire on them for not apologizing. And this has been building ever since.

MLK is for people, not just black people. it's all about civil rights activities.

I didn't say he is for a fact but that he would most likely be aligned with the principles of the Republican party at that time (meaning in 1950s and 60s). Certainly it wouldn't be the Democrats which is obvious to see why. But for me, personally, I think he would be a Republican/Conservative *today* seeing the history. MLK Jr's neice believes the same thing today.
I was talking about MLK especially.
If he was a Republican, I'd like to see any evidence pointing toward MLK being a Republican. I don't want to see more assertions. Just because members of his family are Republicans doesn't mean he's one himself.
It's like saying my Dad is a Democrat because my brother is a Democrat. Uh-uh, my dad is a Republican.

Racism has always existed.
If Democratic Party was bad so people would form into Liberal Party to get away with racial issue from Democratic Party but not anymore since some conservative people want make Democratic Party looks bad.
I have feel that kokonut is engaging me to support conservative/GOP so not going be happen so stop take our GLBT rights away.
Looking at the history, are you saying that MLK Jr's principles were more closely aligned to Democrat Party's principles and beliefs of the time throughout the 1950s and 1960s?
