Anyone own a gun?

This isn't to get into any type of Gun debate (please do not hijack my thread ;) ). Many people own them...some for sport and some for family protection (I fall into the latter). Are there any gun owners here...if so, would you mind sharing what your favorites are?

California is anal about gun ownership, I have a gun safe that is taller than me but honestly... I prefer water guns :) I'm a mom and I also have a bullet wound on my foot (dont ask) so I prefer something with no casings  (cringes)

The entire dang thing was stuck inside the foot, had to dig it out... lets just say I was "Tiny Tim" for Christmas, crutch and such. No hospital visit though (wipes forehead) doctors scare me more than clowns :P

I hate them both equally......What's worse is one of my Dr's has pictures of him dressed as a clown all over his office. I REALLY hate him.

Actually it was the muscle healing that was painful......being shot felt like a bee sting...... I am glad it went through though

Good point :) A bee sting? come on really? I don't believe it! That's like saying breaking a bone feels like a snap and that isn't true, I should know!

I agree, I didn't feel it until later that evening O_O I think the pain climaxed on the third day actually, ouch!

Everybody's tolerence for pain is different. I fractured the growth plate (whatever that is) in my ankle and walked on it for a week thinking I had just twisted my ankle.. I also broke my collar bone and didn't know it until I dislocated my shoulder and it showed up on x-ray. But yeah it really didn't hurt. The healing felt like a badly torn muscle......which I guess it was....lol

Now getting dry sockets after having your wisdom teeth pulled.....that hurts....I was praying for a coma then.

Well, I had 4 dry sockets :) I didn't know, I thought the pain was normal. I broke knee, femur, shoulder, wrist. I have a high pain tolerance, but getting shot sounds like it hurts like hell!

I only had two....they were on the bottom. Those teeth were laying sideways and never came in. They hurt....and the stuff they had to pack them with tasted sooooo bad. I actually went to jobsites the day after I had them out.....no problem. But three days after that I had major pain.

My my my, ain't this a competition ;) I've had all four removed in October, anyone experience it more recently than me? Haaah!
