I once worked at a chicken farm pulling chickens from their pens and loading onto the banquet truck. It was pretty nasty work. And the chickens were so mistreated, I eventually quit b/c my morals kept objecting by making me think I was being so bloody cruel to them that it felt unbelievably wrong & that it didn't feel like the job was worth it to me anymore.

Lindsay could be yet another one of those child stars who spirals down the drain because Hollywood messed them up with treating them like royalty and when their star status takes a hike, no one cares a rats rear end when they lose their equilibrium about what normal is and they need help getting their lives together.

I agree with you. The same thing happened to Brittney Spears, Tatum O'Neal, Micheal Jackson, Robert Downey Jr
and many others. Some manage to "get their shit together", some pay the price.

As children, these are exploited to the max by everybody - starting with the parents.
The parents with $$ signs in their eyes, incapable to say NO when is the time to say NO because of the almighty dollar.
They are in denial deluding themselves "we are doing it because our child loves doing it' - just look at the sick "Toddlers and Tiaras' - these parents are psychos! turning their little children looking like tiny sluts and brainwashing them into thinking they actually love "competing"!
Of course the tiny impressionable child's brain will believe anything you tell them to! you keep telling them over and over
they are "professional" and "competitive" they will come to believe it
and even love it, ! duh!

By the same token, the parents of child stars are deluding themselves into thinking they are "helping to fulfill their children dreams".
The problem is, children sometimes dream of piercing their tongue at 10,
and it doesn't necessary mean you as a parent say "yes".

There is time and place for everything. And it starts early. later is too late.

What can be done now?
Probably not very much, since Lindsay is now an adult and nobody can force her into rehab.
But maybe, just maybe, if she was lovingly hounded into some kind of "intervention', maybe it would work,
I dunno. I hope she does get help at one point because this is so sad,
so sad and such waste of young, beauty, and talent..

And you people, who make fun of other peoples descend into heII - it's obvious you've never given it any deeper thought.
Have you ever wondered what it is like to be addicted? do you think
being addicted is just fun? there is no reason to it?
or perhaps is not fun at all? that behind the majority of addiction lies
terrible pain and past?

I feel so sorry for her - yet another unhappy, lost, misguided person
who got lost in the glitter of fame and money.

Wastes her talent, her beauty. something's missing in her life. maybe always was.

Fuzzy

I really don't know how I feel. Apart of me feels as you do. She has my EMPATHY, but I don't feel sorry for her in terms of shirking her responsiblities. She has a responsibility to carry out the terms of her parole. That's ON HER. She has my empathy when it comes to her drug addiction, but in terms of being told she has to fulfill a debt to society; no I have no empathy or sympathy for what happens to her in regards to her disregarding those terms.

Unfortunately, though, she's probably going to be another Anna Nicole. We're going to hear about her demise. It's all just a matter of time. THAT IS tragic!

Sometimes it's the cry for help, don't you know?

celebs do it on a grander scale just because they have means to do it just so.

a mere mortal who nobody know, do it quietly because nobody will flock
to a loser who got drunk umpteenth time and crashed a car or whatnot,
but the celeb will be swarmed by paparazzi right away...

Fuzzy

I have a hard time believing the cry for help. Because if she truly wanted help right now, she'd toe the line and she has'nt thus far. With some addicts, they have to truly hit bottom before they decide enough his enough. Sadly, I don't think she has yet. Some people die before that ever happens. I hope that doesn't happen to her, but things aren't looking good for her right now. She's cruising towards a tragedy, I'm afraid.

It's sad. :(

This is spot on. I guess the only thing we can do is watch and see how it all plays out. Like I've said, though, I don't think things are going to end well for her.

I hope you're wrong. I have the feeling you could be right though. :(

Lohan is crashing down all because of her parents meddling with her affair and using her fame. Her father is a criminal too. That time period where her father (Wall Street trader) got in trouble with the feds was when Lindsay Lohan started crashing down. I'm surprised that she lasts this long. I think her time's almost up unless her parents butt off permanently.

Those are the beginnings of meth mouth. I've seen it on people here.

nah. I'm sure she doesn't do meth otherwise her drug test would reveal it. Her father wasn't helping Lindsay's situation either. What he said about her teeth to public was a very cruel thing to say as a father.

i think she's on meth but i'm not sure.. look at her decaying teeth and the red splotches on her hands. really sad. i used to love her when i was a kid and now look what has become of her. with the path she's chosen i doubt she will last long.

It seems her father is grasping at straws, trying to do what he can to get her help. I don't see what he did as vicious- I see it as the only solution he sees at the moment, as other approaches haven't worked.

On one hand I feel sorry for her, but on the other hand I don't. She has control of her destiny. She has just chosen the less desirable option. When I say less desirable option, I mean the one that includes a short life span.

Sad, but true.

Just want to make sure - do you know exactly what he said about her teeth to media?

I can't comment regarding her father, but on the bolded we agree completely. It's truly sad.

Does it matter? We already know she's a drug addict; be it meth or coke, or whatever else. The point is this girl is very ill and needs treatment. She also needs to take responsiblity for her actions and LET people help her. If SHE is unwilling to do that, everything else anyone does is pretty much mute.

Also, the media has a way of twisting things. So what if her father made a comment? Is that going to make Lindsay change her ways?

Answer: Not until she's ready to change her ways. Period.

Is it right to belittle her and humiliate her in front of the world and keep kicking her (metaphorically speaking) while she's on ground to force her into getting help?

That's not quite conducive to getting a troubled person into seeking treatment. It's a known fact that her father is the main source of the problem and her downfall.

Father's comment to public
“That’s from smoking a pipe with meth or crack. She’s smoking either crack or meth, one or the other. I’m not going to shade it. If you’re talking about prescription medication it would affect all your teeth, not just your two front teeth. You can’t dance with the devil and expect to go home with Jesus.”

Are you placing majority of the blame on her father, rather than Lindsay herself?
