Valid reasoning is subjective.

It can be. It can also be determined objectively. But then, if you were familiar with research you would already realize that and validity for your reason for asking would have already been demonstrated.

So... it says 2 to 3 out of every 1,000 are born deaf or hard-of-hearing, on my assumption this is based on this year's statistics. If we ignore factors occurring in the older generation that no longer exist like German measles, and we apply a ratio of 0.003 to 307,006,550 people...

It gives us 921019.65. Almost one million people; however this means we are ignoring the late-deaf and those afflicted with childhood deafness if we were to apply the ASL statistics to it.

I feel sorry for the poor bastard who is only 7/13 complete.

and those two groups would change the numbers drastically.

A logic course?

No, he is paraphrasing something I said last week about interpretation of the way something is worded and offensiveness being subjective. He never misses an opportunity.:giggle:

Interesting reading. Not sure if NIDCD included genetics which is the reason I became deaf.

Implanted Advanced Bionics-Harmony activated Aug/07

It's figures were age related, not etiology related.

Let what go? I simply made a general comment about providing sources.

Again and again and again and again. Exactly why your requests for sources are generally ignored.

how many time was that? And I am sorry but generally they are honored and when they are not, or not qualified as opinions, I don't trust the information.

Agree depending on the situation.

I have paraphrased nothing. My comment has nothing to do with anything that you have said. It's not always about you Jill...

Except who is the asshole? I wouldn't know; both side refuse to give in, and demanding each others to trust each others.

Souggy, unrelated to this discussion, but is that you in the picture?

Sure. I would like to have a t-shirt like that. True business.

But no, with all due seriousness, I am white as ... Well, not as a ghost, but white as a Slav or Mediterranean can be.

And I would never be caught wearing that colour.
