That's the whole problem with sign language, it's like Linux, there's no one sign language but they are all sign language. So someone who knows ASL can't understand someone who knows BSL, and they both can't understand someone who knows Aust. Sign Language. And then there're PSE, SEE... all...

Most people I know hand carry because it feels more natural. I guess it's just easier to point that way, without the sling getting in the way of things. Also if worse comes to worst and you have to use the butt end, it's probably easier to swing lol :)

Yea lots of people think HOH means sounds are too soft. It doesn't occur to them that with hearing loss, things are both too soft and too unclear, so shouting is not going to help and will probably make it less clear lol :)

Very true, what if it was better sometimes to lie? what if some bleeding guy runs past you, followed by a guy with a machete dripping blood. What if he asks you where the guy went? are you going to tell the truth or not? Life was maybe a lot simpler then, you worked hard, you told the truth...
