Well I am putting in for USDA Inspection there are some restrictions even for that:
must not be colorblind
your vision has to fall within a certain range or must be brought within a certain range with corrective lenses
you must hear and comprehend conversations at room levels
you must be physically able to walk, stand, and sit for an extended period of time.
use both hands for extended periods of time
I have to complete and submit the paperwork for a physical examination, eye examination, as well as a hearing test. If I fall outside of normal parameters I may either have to go in for another examination, come up with a plan to correct it, or be turned down for a position.
