It occurs to me too, but I read on and off.. but that would incidate you have been on the computer too much, no offense, mate. ;)
Nope, I just never had the need for books.

In college, everything I needed to know were from the lectures. The only time I looked in the textbooks were to answer questions for homework... especially math books.

I reading WWE magazine, is that count? also Gallaudet's infamous Buff n Blue magazine

Yeah, I like to read a book. I'm currently read, American Spartans by James Warren. Next book will be "Tides of War" by Steven Pressfield for sure.

The books that I've read were...
-Gates of Fire by Steven Pressfield
-Flyboys by James Bradley
-Flags of our Fathers by James Bradley.
-Return with Honor by Captain Scott O'Grady
-War Pilot by Richard Kirkland

Yeah, I have read a lot of military books.

I'm re-reading New Moon by Stephenie Meyer... I don't like it as much as Twilight and Eclipse though...

i love to read. so right now im reading Darkly Dreaming Dexter by Jeff Lindsay. Its really good so far. :D

I read; therefore I am

The old saying is so true: different strokes for different folks. I realize they aren't for everyone, but books have been my lifelong source and solace. Last year when I was slaving 10-12 hours a day plus driving 120 miles roundtrip to the job, I only read a book every ten days, but now I'm back up to a two-a-week habit with all the usual junkie behaviors--knowing the librarians' grandkids' first names . . . begging casual acquaintances for spare paperbacks. To avoid being stalked, lots of folks throw books on my porch. The two I'm currently reading are Chelsea Cain's Heartsick and James David's Footprints in Thunder. The first is so good it's hard to put down, and the second is so bad I'm fascinated to see where it hits bottom and rebounds to SOME improvement.

Truthfully, I don't really enjoy reading.

Aww that is too bad - I adore reading!

Right now am reading this book on small pox and how a British lady and a Boston doctor trying to to get the message that the best way to beat small pox is to actually have it by being injected with it by a doctor in 1700's. It is a truly fascinating book - never knew how horrible it is. Such terrible way to die :(

my all time favorite is "Kane and Abel" I love family saga from 1700's to now.

use to read Stephen King's book unless I read "Cujo" that book came alive without even seeing the movie...

I tend to get big paperbacks knowing it'll take me forever... I do like I can't remember the author name "penny vincezo" most of her books to do with the Mafia or family... really good ones.

I also liked true stories as well...

I have been neglecting to read books which I love to do but don't have a good comfortable chair at the moment .... I'm weird lol..

I am a bookworm... I like mystery novels... my faves authors are Robin Cook... Harold Robbins....

I read a short story "I am Legend" by Richard Matheson about the last human on earth with everyone else vampires. Very interesting but ends too soon with nothing finished. I know Will Smith makes a movie about this for December. Wikipedia article about "I am Legend" - it explains the title "I am Legend" and I see I 100% misunderstand. :laugh2:

:giggle:

It's a souce as well solace for me, too. I love to read and have been avidly for years. Too many authors, I like, to list. :)

I just finished reading The Heroin Diaries: A Year in the Life of a Shattered Rock Star. That was a crazy book. It is a years worth of diaries and then current time comentary from the author, band mates, friends and family. It's crazy. I couldn't put it down. Now I am reading the first Harry Potter book. I wasn't sure if I was going to like it but I am really enjoying it. I think I'll end up reading the series.

I am a book worm kind of gal love to read before bed. I read all kinds of books that keep me busy. :) I have been reading books since I was teenager to my adult life.

I just finished reading all Karin Slaughter's books. After reading Beyond Reach, I am so mad!!!! She did something to my favorite character in the book. I cannot tell you, in case you have never read it, but read her books before. Gotta wait till 2009 for her next book. Next year she is writing something else. Grrr...why??? Maybe Karin Slaughter needs a break and figure out what to do with my 'you know who'...Patricia Cornwell does the very same thing. oh well....I am reading Patricia Cornwell's 'Book of the Dead' right now (yes, about time that I wait the whole year). I bought other latest books- Stephen King, Nicholas Sparks, Irs Johnasen, etc... to stock up for Winter as well.

...If you don't have time to read, then you don't have the time or tool to write...Stephen King

T is for Trespass by Sue Grafton just hit the bookstores, so I put my name on the list at the library to read it. It’s Grafton's 20th book featuring her grown-up Nancy Drew. Some of Grafton's later alphabet mysteries fell below her usual standard of excellence. The last one, S is for Silence, had lots of promise but went nowhere. However, I’m forever hopeful.

Clive Cussler’s new book on the shelves is The Chase, which I’ll have to read if only for the title.
