Who likes to read books...

Agatha Christie, Anne Perry, Tony Hillerman, Michael Crichton, Sue Grafton, Patricia Cornwell, James Patterson, Clive Cussler, and Elizabeth Peters are my usual 'friends'.

If you like Patricia Cornwell and Kay Scarpetta, check out Jeffery Deaver. Lincoln Rhymes is another Gil Grissom. I'd like to see Kay, Lincoln, and Gil all in one book. It would probably be longer than War and Peace. :D

I think they'd be a lot easier to read and finish than War and Peace. I only managed to read about 400 pages of War and Peace. I never finished it.

I haven't read any of Deaver's Rhymes books. I saw a movie once so I know that Lincoln Rhymes is the character that is paralyzed and solved crimes from his bed. I haven't come across any of the books at used book sales yet.

Forgot one more thing, ITPjohn. I also like Alex Cross character of John Peterson which also was made into movie(s?).

You're a mystery fan? My mother has 3 complete sets of Agatha Christie mysteries. I'm not kidding! I'm more of a SF fan.

My sister loves Isaac Asimov. I found some of his robot books and read them before passing them along to my sister. I found them good and interesting.
I don't think I have read all of Agatha Christie's books. I found a book that lists all of her books. I am attempting to read all of her books and yeah, I am rereading some of the books.

I am an avid reader. Currently reading a Mary Higgen Clark's book

Would reading AD members' posts count too?:giggle:

One of my nieces loves Mary Higgin Clark. I tried to find any of her books in thirft stores and read them before passing them along to my niece.

Kay Hopper?

I just heard about Kay Hopper from one of my fellow freecycler. I know nothing about this author. Could someone tell me? Thank you.

My favorite Asimov quote: "Those who think they know everything are a great irritation to those of us who do."

Love that Dog Whisperer book. You will be surprised at Mexicans' attitude toward dogs and Cesaer's point of view of our attitude toward dogs.

Dog the Bounty Hunter book is new on me. I will have to look it up online to see if it is any good.

I read a variety of books. One of my recent ones have been:

Heart and Science by Wilkie Collins. It was written over a hundred years ago about this really evil vivisectionist. It's interesting thought how the arguments are already there about how futile vivisection is and that was over a hundred years ago. A book well worth reading.

As well as classics by Wilkie collins and Dostyevsky I also like teenage fiction by authors like Diana Wyne Jones, Robert Westall, and Tanya Pierce. I also like Harry Potter.

I'm not a huge fan of Asimov. I've read several of the Dune books though and several of Arthur C. Clark books. I've read some of Bruce Sterling's books as well. My tastes runs more toward fantasty/dark fantasy; I'm a fan of Robert Jordan, George RR. Martin and Tanith Lee.

I'm not reading any books right now nor have I read any books since 1994. ;)

It occurs to me too, but I read on and off.. but that would incidate you have been on the computer too much, no offense, mate. ;)

Soon I will be ordering "The World Without Us" by Alan Weisman

dont read that much at this time of the year - too busy, but when I do have time, I like to read a variety of non fiction books.

Dreama, Id be damned to find that book about vivasection, sounds wicked

javapride, and buffulo, i like dogs books too, and I hope to get an old one, by Ian Dunbar, and it'd be anyone of those book written by him, said to be a classic
