Who likes mushrooms?

The mushrooms that I froze were really good today in an omelette. It's not exactly breaking news I know. :D

I will have to tried that b/c mushrooms don't last long and it hard to buy fresh one at the store yeah may not be breaking news but it's better than the news I been seeing on TV.

we have some fresh leftover mushrooms that my husband wants to put on his pizza, too. , WDYS!

One of the best ways to save mushrooms for long term use is to dry them. If kept cool, dark and air-tight they can last for months to years.

Must have mushrooms in my scrambled eggs. I love mushrooms in my hamburgers, pasta dishes, pizza, eggs, and salads. Sometimes I just sauté them and just eat them. My hubby makes delicious stuffed mushrooms. Yum!

I like eating raw mushrooms in dip OR cooked either way I like them :) my sister's future mom in law made stuffed mushrooms I like them yummy ;)

Woody , how do you clean your mushrooms , do you wipe them off with a damp water towel or rise them off?

^Missed this. I rinse them in the sink. I'm going to be hunting for Morels for the first time. Hopefully I can hit the jackpot! :D

Happy hunting! It's getting hard to buy decent white mushrooms , they're coming into the store looking old .

I do! I like them in many things or sauteed in olive oil by themselves

Mushrooms are a big thing in Polish cooking starting from simply sliced raw in salads ending with tasty mushroom perogies.
Since the Polish forests are rich in all kinds of them, we have so many mushroom dishes.

I like to add 'criminals' to hot wraps and cold salads, the chanterelles to meat stews. yummmmm..
Portabello are nice, too, in stews.
I also make special tiny Christmas perogies called "uszka" (ooshkah) which are filled with either very finely chopped mushrooms
and a bit of onion, then fried in a pan or first fried and then put thru a grinder.
they look like this before cooking:

served with fat free (meatlesss) borscht

Some people make them with sauerkraut, but proper Christmas uszka should contain just mushrooms. onion optional.
If you make a regular shaped perogies with mushrooms and sauerkraut as a side dish then it's fine to add both.
