Who likes mushrooms?

Chanterelles. :D

They're not cheap. I heard 30 dollars a pound around here. I usually give a good portion of them away however I read how to freeze them. May have to try that. :D

No. I really like exploring/searching for things in the woods. There are some crazy looking things growing that I want to identify. I could let you folks try them first and see the outcome. :D

I use to love taking walks in the woods with my dog but people can let their dogs run lose all day and I keep my dog on his leash . This made it hard to walk with dogs running up to us . I would pick blackberries , they can cost a lot for small package . I also would looks for ladyslippers , I don't pick the flowers b/c it illegal too. There aren't many left .

Well where I go there aren't any dogs or people. It's pretty much wilderness. :D

one way to tell if mushrooms are bad, you break off a piece and rub it on your gums and wait about an hour, if your gums get irritated, they are not for human consumption.

as with any, always save 1 or 2 mushroom of whatever you are eating in case it is bad, so the hospital knows what you ate and find the cure faster.

I like all kinds of different mushrooms. I love them in my salads, some pasta meals, and especially the summer when you can grill them. Portabella's with a little splash of EVOO or grape seed oil with a bit of seasoning.. Yummy! Never have tried to "hunt" them. I prefer to get mine from our local farmer's market and no pesticides.

I love all edible mushrooms and especially portabellas grilled or as a meat sub, and white buttons in omelettes. I enjoy trying different kinds.
Sometimes I might just do some sauteed in olive oil as a side dish.

My dogs <my "girls"> get medicinal mushroom powder as a immune boosting and cancer protection supplement

That sound so peaceful . We don't have anyplace like that in my city .

You can grow certain sorts of mushrooms in your kitchen they grow something that looks like a log and go on for ever yank some off and they grow again and I can't remember name of them
