Paste is flaking biscuit baked on top stew. Might be Newfoundland thing.![]()
Must be. I think we call that a pot pie here. Or with fruit, a cobbler.

Is not same like pot pie. Similar dough boys in stew? Just flaking biscuit instead dough boys. No crust.
Dumplings?
I text my mom ask dough boys same dumplings, she say yes, dumplings what mainlanders say! Lol.
Is it like a dumpling?
Currently chasing a whiffy Camembert around the house. When I capture it, it's going in my dinner![]()
Is that a cheese?
Yes it's a soft unpasteurised cheese.

The longer you leave it, the softer it becomes. The joke is that if you leave it too long, it will start moving. Several explanations
(1) word play: the softer a cheese is, the more "runny" it is
(2) the smell attracts little creatures who then carry it off
(3) it contains lots of micro-organisms and if you leave them long enough, they evolve legs and it starts to move - after that it evolves into a sentient being and begins to talk, pleading you not to cut a chunk out of it![]()
