Please for the love of Harry Potter's sake - don't go to Panda Express next time. Go to real chinese restaurant and have some real mandarin chicken. you're missing out! oh and some wonton soup too!

I will! But sometimes one has to try something new. Usually we do go to a family owned Chinese restaurant.

Right now the daughter I went to dinner with is in her last semester of nursing school and studying constantly. So she wanted to go out, but not spend too much time.

Any restaurant name that has the word "Buffet" in it makes me want to run away screaming!

lol I would never try something new at Panda Express... although I'm being a hypocrite just for saying that cuz otherwise how else would I know what Panda Express food is like

lol me too but I'd go if I'm going with a group. There are few reputable buffet places around here. damn delicious but little pricey.

Buffet restaurants where I live, even in Chinatown are frequented by white people only because their food SUCKS!

So, if you're able to find a buffet restaurant that serves good food, that's great! We don't have such a place here.

My top three favourite food is Thai, Viet and Korean so I'm really picky about places that serve authentic cuisine. My most favourite restaurant is this little crappy hole in the wall type of restaurant in Chinatown that serves the most divine food. It's my secret happy place :)

I guess I have good luck. The Chinese buffet in my neighborhood is always at least half Oriental clientele.

But I actually don't like to eat at the buffet restaurant that often either as I prefer my food freshly prepared just for me and delivered to my table.

that's the kind of place I avoid

oops forgot to post a pix of dinner I had yesterday. My mom and I went to this korean-chinese restaurant for dinner. My family have been going there for over 15 years.

Excuse me, I have to go find paper towels to wipe the drool off the floor.

What's in the big bowl at the top?

that's what I'm trying to find out because I don't know English translation for it. Korean word is "zzam-boh" - chinese noodle with mixed seafood and spicy broth

I was wondering if it might be hot and sour soup.

definitely not sour but it's not that spicy.... at least to me.

now eating french bread with italian dipping olive oil cuz my korean dinner (a bowl of rice... dried seaweed... and this meat in soy sauce) wasn't sufficient enough.

nom nom nom +20.

No no! I meant BALSAMIC, not basilic, that was a mistake on my part, had to edit my comment.

I live in a French Canadian city so slices of baguettes served with a small bowl of olive oil and a dash of Balsamic vinegar is a well known appetizer :) sooooooo good!
