Well, for tonight, it seems MIL is going to try to go back to the weight loss meeting, so that means Perkins for dinner. I most likely will have a small cup of Chicken tortilla soup and a side salad. Not sure.

More caldo. It helps when you feel like yuck. I spent all day napping. Hope it is better soon. Caldo will help!

Caldo de pollo? Known other wise as Jewish penicillin?

Dinner tonight? Well, I will be finally preparing the boneless pork loin chops with chili lime seasoning and onions. Elbows macaroni with the chili lime seasoning and butter and have had a pot of green beans cooking on low for the afternoon with ham hocks. There will also be a salad of cucumber and tomato slices with a dollop of mayo. (Miracle Whip)

Just had Cod in mustard sauce, steamed green beans and mashed potatoes.

1st - thanks friends for the good wishes!

2nd - Hubby picked up Chinese takeout. Spicy is nice.

Damn, you people eat some delicious food!!! LOL Hope you feel better soon, Nan! Potato leek soup seems to always hits the spot for me when I'm feeling ill.

Tonight, I made a marinara sauce with garlic and red wine over penne, with a spring green salad. Easy and delicious. Tomorrow will be going to a little hole in the wall joint with my friend before we go watch "Social Network." Thinking of trying a Reuben sandwich for the first time...

I adore potato and leek soup. Care to share the recipe for your version? Mine includes a bit of chicken.

Thank you for the good wishes.

This is the one I start with: Potato-Leek Soup | David Lebovitz I don't use white pepper because I don't have any. David Lebovitz' blog is the first place I check for new food ideas and recipes. He hasn't let me down once.

For this soup, he doesn't use broth, but I like to throw in a cube or two of chicken bullion. I think it makes a difference. Very simple soup to make, but so delicious!

Thank you very much. I have made the site a favorite and added the recipe to my mastercook files.

Hey thanks. I'll have to buy leeks next week so I can use up my bulk potato bag.

I'm having baked cod with leftover beans, sauted tomatoes, onions and smashed potatoes and salad on the side for dinner

Hunan beef with vegetables. Steamed rice. Egg roll . Crab rangoon.

Lol - Mexican beef sandwich with a little goat cheese, tomato, avacado and Mexican cream.
