What's your dinner tonight?

We will be having kielbasa, macaroni, beets and sautéed zucchini and yellow squash.

I don't know yet, but something good and tasty only in L.A. :P

We are eating Marie Callendar's Pot Pies, Chudleigh Caramel Apple Blossoms, and cranberry juice.

My husband surprised me with lunch at a place new to our area, Bang Bang. It's a Mongolian grill, but you also make a salad, and it has soup, plus you can make nachos with guacamole. It has an extensive list of gluten free also. I guess it is really a fusion type restaurant, but I thought it was good. One thing I hadn't seen before was raw egg that could also be grilled and added to your food.

Eggplant parmesan, baby greens and chopped beet salad with honey mustard dressing. Dessert was homemade Amish friendship cake, vanilla and poppy seed. That sourdough stuff is so addicting. I have been keeping a kettle of it.

See how far I can walk and then eat at the closest restaurant.

Chicken breast tenderloins and onion cooked in salsa, chicken mashed potatoes and green beans slow cooked with bacon.

I'm having pork chops braised in apple cider with ginger and cooked granny smiths with corn bread, bitter greens and the last of my carrot soup for dinner

Pulled an organic free range chicken out of the freezer to thaw and will roast it in a Dutch oven with potatoes and herbs. Also will make a salad and bake a pain de campange (French country baguette).

Last night I had, salmon, quinoa and a spinach salad with balsamic vinegar
The salmon was very dry, not very good.

An adventure of bus riding with my daughter and getting off when a good low price restaurant is spotted.

Haven't cooked this Thursday night (was out of town over the weekend). Will be fixing pork, pasta and some kind of vegetable. Got to go to the store. Family ate everything while I was gone.

A rambling white cane technique adventure with my nurse daughter, and stopping at any close restaurant when tired. Fun evening. :)

Braised chicken leg; wild rice, carrots cooked and then flavored with brown sugar, sauted kale with onions.

I don't think it will turn out as well as it should; chicken skin is blackened when recipe called for it to be lightly browned. Next time i will cook it for five mintues on each side instead of 15 mintues that it called for.

Well, mine got totally changed up since the pork never got thawed. (mother forgot to pull it from the deep freeze) We had steak with mushrooms and onions, seasoned mashed potatoes and steamed carrots.

Brunt skin was a bit overpowering for my lemon-wine gravy but otherwise quite good. I think I'll chose different sides for my braised legs next time.

Caldo de res, arroz y limones. That is a Mexican beef knuckle soup with a red, savory side of rice and a plate of Mexican limes to squeeze over it. The soup is quite chunky with corn cobbetts, large pieces of cabbage, onion and potatoes in a rich, slow cooked beef broth. Yummmmm!
