And he was half groggy and he was like - "What is a tornado? Is it bad?" Luckily nothing happened other than some hail and wind gusts and a few limbs down in the yard, but nothing major.

Dad went out on the front porch to see what it was doing, and he grabbed his camera and was going to take pictures, :lol:

Today my best friend and I went to see some display homes and most of it are very nicely designed. I love going to look at some display homes. I wish I could move right in. :)
 
my hubby, me, my best friend n her bf r going to Point Mallard, swimming n stay there all day.. after that we will stop for beer or so then come home and we will cook out tonight.. hehehe..



2 days ago, i bought 5 balloons for surprise my hubby at work so they delivery to his work yesterday morning, he shocked and very happy.. he pgr me n say u got me balloons.. i say yea.. hehehe.. BUT i wont believe this damn... abt 730pm, my hubby pgr me say someone stole his balloons in trainning room, i was veryyyyyyyyyyyyy upset cuz of i paid lil lot cost with deilvery too.. it was very speical for our 1st annv.. so i told him give me phone nbrs then i called his boss, explained to him , he shocked and dont know that so he called other manager came n discussed.. asked me 2 choice, they buy new balloons or give me back money.. i told them i dont wanna other balloons at wm cuz of i bought that balloons are so beautiful and special so i wanna money back so they asked me to give curtis repiect this monday and show them and they will pay me back.. sigh... my hubby was very piss off cuz of he love that gift... also i gave curtis silver superman stainless steel watch.. he love it so much.. ofc his fave superman lol... so he gave me 12 pink roses with card.. it was so wonderful!!!
 
Today I have been dealing with a whiny preschooler, we were going to go pick up dads fathers day gift at Belks BUT she never took a nap, so I will just wait until she goes to bed tonight then run over to wal-mart to get it. I dont take cranky preschoolers with me out in public.
 
Try taking a class full of deaf whiny preschoolers on a class field trip.
Then you'll know why this teacher is a borderline alcoholic.
 
I wouldnt be alcoholic but I would probably shave my head like Britney Spears after I've pulled half of my hair out.

Ive already been alcoholic once - I dont need to be alcoholic again.

This is why I am going into SECONDARY EDUCATION rather than primary education.
 
I didn't know you was planning on being a teacher...cool! And yep, I agree - secondary is way more fun. That's why I'll be teaching high school again in the fall.
 
Yeah I am planning on changing shifts officially at the end of the month as Classes begin August 20th here. I'm going to take half a day off from work to go take care of buisness one day next week after I send off a truck payment. I'm hoping my loan will cover tuition AND books but I have a feeling, it is going to cover only tuition, and I have come up with money for books myself.

I think for some classes I can probably wing it without a book, and only buy books for the classes where it is absolutely REQUIRED to have a book. (Prof puts 10% of your semester grade on it. :eek: )

I just wish those damn things weren't so bloody expensive!
 
Wow, that's awesome. And oh, god, I know what you mean by the books (and tuition)- the prices are just outrageous. There were times that I had to do without books and try to wing through the classes- some professors were nice about it and would tell me if I really needed them or not...I do know that sometimes I could find the same books on Amazon.com that were way more cheaper. But I was an English major so a lot of those books were available...other majors that require textbooks were harder to find.

But Dixie, trust me as I'm speaking from experience - in the end, it is all worth it. All of the sweat and blood that you put into this will be well worth it. Good luck :).
 
Just got home from spending the day at Ocean City with a bunch of deafies. :)

Never mind the fact that she threw the puzzles all over the floor, then got in the shelf trying to knock it over, and then grabbed it while kicking me and spitting at me - which resulted in her cutting her hand.

I should've been a lawyer. Plumber. Hell, a newspaper girl on a bike. Anything but a teacher, lol.

Hey, my aide quit 2 weeks ago and we got one of the internships to be our aide for the rest of the school year until this past Monday, she was taken away from us and it has been hell all week getting different people to work with us. Our students are bright but 4 of them have extremely strong personalities and they have been picking on each other constantly. Also, the AC in my classroom is not working well so it is practically 90 degrees with 90% humidity in my classroom. 2 MORE DAYS TO GO!!!!!

So, I know how u feel!

Try dealing with 3rd graders who have smart mouths and think they are the boss of each other. I am on the raod to become an alcoholic..lol!
 
Just got home couple of hours from going to ASD Alumni Reunion in Little Rock. It was fun to see old friends.. MOst of them are older people. only 2 of my classmates of 91 were there? dang! 3 others freinds who i used to hang out with back in school were there as well. It was great to see them again. time flew by so fast that we had to come home! :(

It was hot and humid! TJ complained the whole time... next year i am not going to bring him with me! Forget it! lol... grrrrr.. :giggle:

My cat oreo is hurt.. i think he got ran over... his leg is hurting and limping.. he wouldnt walk on it... poor oreo..:(

Im gonna cuddle with Oreo and keep him company as he kept meowing for me and my attention.. lol I am worn out... whew! so gonna get off and watch movie, ok.. ;)

im mad at my softball bat- Maverick. It stinged my hands when i hit the softball!! i feel like i want to throw my bat at ocean and go out to spend another 200 bucks something on new bat.

Lucky you- I wished I could've gone. Was any of the '96 folks there? Sorry about Oreo :/.
