Anyway, Jiro -- Inomina again?

Yep, its sad. But if people want to refill the pool, they have to ask for a exempt in writing from the goverment to have it refilled... they don't like it.

Move to America where we don't have severe drought issues. ;)

yup! if we do have severe drought issues... it's usually temporary. We just gotta wait for major storm :cool2:

haha no. It's only weekend. I usually sleep 12+ hours once a week which is weekend. I slept from 3am to... 5pm? and then fell asleep again for a few hours at night :cool2:

In New Orleans, they are able to use an inground swimming pool for, at least, 6 months - comfortably. Many owners seek to get rid of them after 4 months. They are a hassle and, with bars that, readily, provide a swimming atmosphere at discount prices, wish they'd not invested.

Want to swim? Go to a gym or, in the U.S., a local Y.M.C.A. Otherwise, it really does take a lot of maintenance that you'd not expect.

That's my 2 cents and I am not without experience.

That's true. That was what one of the former pool owner said "want to swim for cheap? Go to a local pool.

local pool full of piss from kids... and salty substance from sweaty people... :barf:

Ahh I understand, Jiro and I wish there was a major storm that can fill us our dam so we didn't have to worry about the drought....

Actually, you do in parts of California, Arizona and perhaps Nevada, Georgia, Alabama etc, if my memory serves me right.

It wouldn't surprise me if it hit your state someday as well all over the US.

Like Jake said, it's a long term problem. Even putting a tarp over it doesn't help.

i pity you Aussie people... I can't believe you're having a several years of drought. Almost unheard of in modern world and one would think with all these technology... you'd have a comprehensive "energy-saving" water system... oh well! better do your rain dance hard!

luckily.... we're in a good geographical position. my state has had several drought restrictions but it was very temporary. I saw something that I've never seen in my entire life... probably same for natives who have lived there all their life. I saw a huge lake (our water reservoir lake) that was nearly empty and I could see couple of "islands" in middle of lake! It was an amazing view. But of course.... it was replenished with a couple of major storms.

Unless we have a inventory to demand rain for us --- like the snow business has cloud seeds to make it snow and it worked for the past year and this winter ...

We've had this drought for more than a decade, if I remember right. In all households, we're reqiured to do out bit to conserve water, as much as we can, such as putting in a bucket when showering then use it on parched gardens.

We're used to it, don't pity us city dwellers, place it on farmers who have it harder than us metropolitan people.

Yeah, they have a lot of debt to pay back...

Put it on you list, Delectable... when the next trip back to the states, go and visit one of the nude beach, it would be a sure pleasure for ya! ;)
