What will you do with your tax refund?

Yes, he pays both because he is the owner boss and the worker. So he pays double for himself. He has no other employees.

Our tax system is different.

We give more than 10 percent of our gross income to charities but we still don't get a refund. It does lower the amount we owe but not enough for a refund. :)

Oh I see... I got it. Thank you for explanation.

Yes I aware that our tax system is different. Some have to pay tax accord their low annual spending and % of gross wage... It really depend on how many % of gross tax of monthly gross wage...

I have to fill out how much I spend a year to get tax refund including how much I pay tax every month... gasoline, oil heat, etc.

Yes I already said in previous post that I aware that the difference tax system between US and EU.

I do not need to know how much you spend but state that it depend on difference tax gross of monthly wage... It really depend on difference % of monthly wage why you get tax refund and other have to pay.

You can ask your tax officer about tax tarif. As you said that you get tax refund. Did you fill out with the help from tax officer? If yes, then ask him how many % of tax gross, you pay from your monthly wage slip then you can compare between single and married/family couple.

My American co-worker told me that she pay low tax and get high tax refund a year due married and family. It does the same with Germany here as well.

I filed tax return with my relative, just help me to get worked out, doesn't ask tax officer or related to help me.

Well, if you are low income or doesn't have credit card, even not own house and not have interest rate then married couple will get tax refund, also low income doesn't pay much taxes.

American income tax is not a tariff. Tariffs are for merchandise.

TARIFF - Customs, duties, toll or tribute payable upon merchandise to the general government is called tariff; the rate of customs, etc. also bears this name and the list of articles liable to duties is also called the tariff.

Spent my small refund to order black earmolds. Now I will look like sinister old lady.:cool2::cool2::cool2:

What a cute rig, Dixie. It's hard to tell relative sizes, but it looks like Ford's slightly smaller answer to the Chevy Avalanche.

I may be a girl but I damn sure don't like cute! But I'll take the compliment anyway. As for the Avalanche - actually the SporTrac came out about a year before the Avalanche. The SporTrac is more like a Explorer cab with a short truck bed attached where the cargo area would normally be. The gas mileage isnt all that much different than the Explorer. I wouldnt mind having an Avalanche though due to more room but WAY outside my budget! The SporTrac is classified as a mid-size truck I believe.

As for gas mileage with me living only 6 miles from where I work I dont think there is going to be that much difference in what Im paying already in my 1992 Ford Explorer.

Nice car but sure wouldn't want to see the gas price on it.

Im not worried about the gas price on it - I live only 6 miles from work and its gas mileage is similar to the Ford Explorer.

Yes, that's right but depend on your annual spending either you can get refund or not. If I have low annual spending then I will get less tax refund or pay tax... That's why I get Tax Officer to help me to aviod for pay the tax...

Interesting, I own house and car but I still get tax refund because I pay interest rate, property tax, etc. etc. They work on how much I use gasonline for daily work, accompany my children to doctors, school, etc. because the tax is including gasoline, medicial, anything.

Tax is not count for credit card because it belongs luxury.

The people who get low income, get more tax refund - depend how much they get money from social assistance. They get more if they have family.

I had been fill tax return application with the help from in-laws... I get little tax refund or pay little tax back to them... I was recommended by my friends and co-workers to let Tax Officer to do for me... they know how to get high tax back... I did... Super!!!

I made a whopping $10,000 as an interpreter last year. What category does that put me in? :P

Last year I owed federal taxes, this year I am getting about $1400 back! I'm very happy about that. Plus I am getting the $600 bonus check. And all of it goes toward my hearing aids that I just bought. Then I only have $3,650 left to pay for them!
