What is Your Pet Peeve?

pet peeve:
People thinking they are just so much better than me because i am in school, and am not working. *theres no pressure in school* HA. HA

oh i hate that. it's almost like they think college is a 2, 4 or 6+ year vacation. yeah, right! (i also feel the same way about people who think guide dog training is my way to take time off of school. the training is grueling and very physically demanding. in fact, i bet most sighties couldn't handle the everyday expecations of training if they were put in the same situation.)

my pet peeve...

REALLY craving something for breakfast, lunch or dinner only to find that you don't have it in your fridge or cupboard!

Exactly. ohh, and i understand the not having something in the fridge. I want some chocolate!!!

Hearing people who say congenital/prelingual Deaf should learn to speak and use their "natural voice"! Argh. I just got in a fight with someone about it. I was explaining why Marlee Matlin has an interpreter because ASL is her natural language as a Deaf person, etc., and she went on about how Matlin should speak like a normal person and how Deaf people should just use their voices instead of sign language.

And my attempt to explain sign language is just as natural to Deaf as spoken is to hearing...futile. <sigh>

one of my pet peeves are people who constantly ask you for advice that they *never* take.

People who gang up in a pack against someone who holds a different view, even going so far as to threaten the dissenter.

My pet peeves are:
People call me 'sir'. (I popped off a response to the unemployment lady that wasnt so nice after I had corrected 3 others not 15 minutes apart. I said "Last time I checked I had a pussy, not a penis."

People that are narrowminded to the point that they honestly believe that their own viewpoint is the only correct one.

People who are incredibly greedy to the extent that they refuse to give nothing accept their own opinion of how things should be and how and when and where people should give to charity.

People who are so wrapped up in themselves that they constantly seek a sympathy vote and judging everyone as being against them. There is a fine line between schizophrenia and a 'pity me' attitude. The pity projection only makes me want to run screaming AWAY from you.

People who are cruel and when they are called out on it, they try to get out of it by stating that the other person is being too sensitive or that they had a bad moment or some other lame exscuse. It not being politically correct, its about being polite and curteous.

People who use and dispose other people like paper cups.

I agree very strongly with the above quote!

People that gossip a lot.

Able-bodied people that park in handicapped parking.

People that abuse their position of power (e.g. some bosses, some teachers.)

People that honk their horn at me when I'm running on the pavement than the sidewalk, like I didn't know there are cars on the road.

There's a reason I do, and I also respect traffic. Running on the damn pavement has more shock absorption over running on cement. It is easier on the bones.

ad'ers who remove me as a friend just because i happen to disagree with their opinions. friends can agree to disagree, right?

even though i'm completely deaf now without my ci's, i used to HATE this in my pre-hearing aid days: people who used to honk their car horns, rev their car engines, spin their tires or turn up their car stereos very late at night while i and others are trying to sleep.

My biggest pet peeves are:

When people driving in traffic talking on their cellular phones and not paying attention to their driving.

People who are looking for a fight, are the people I would not willing to be friends with.

I agree , it's so annoying.

My pet peeve..

Everybody's arguing and it is the Christmas season!!

It's the season to be merry and not to be Scrooges.
