I was thinking it was some one else who made the "mistake" but I've kept my mouth shut until now. (I wanted to make a joke but didnt... I don't want be a jerk but it's hard to resist ) :)

Yes, 0+ is considered an universal blood type and can be used by anyone with different blood types. Highest demand/need for this blood type.

Mine's 0+.
 
My blood type is A+.
My hubby's blood type is 0+.
My daughter's blood type is 0+.
My Mother's type is 0+.
My father's blood type is A+.

Blood type cannot be used to determine personality characteristics, and is unreliable in determining diet or health concerns.

Actually, O- is the universal donor. Someone with a postive blood type can be transfused with a negative, but someone with a negative cannot receive a transfusion from a positive donor, because their body will create antibodies against the Rh factor.
 
Now I know I'm A+, not O+ as stated. Even my mother were surprised because she's A- and assumed all her kids are O+ :)

or you can go to any free clinic for STD testing... donate blood at Red Cross... or yea ask your doctor who has drawn your blood before

They don't automatically type your blood when you are tested for STDs. You have to request that typing be done. Babies are typed at birth. Somewhere in your birth records is a record of your blood type.
