Marriage is so much more than just religious union. It is a commitment before God, but it's also a commitment made before man, and more importantly a commitment made to each other that you will do all you can to nurture the relationship and to help it flourish and grow.
A marriage is legal committed relationship between two grown consenting individuals, and it should be legal for everyone. Homosexuality is considered a protected status, not granting same sex marriages would be in violation of the 1964 civil rights act that protects minority people groups from discrimination, including homosexuals.
Could you please list the article and title numer that deals with marriage or homosexuality. Also are you saying that marriage is exclusively a legal commited relationship? I think many cultures would beg to differ.
