What Induces Fear?

So, i am confused then, why then does this person have such a deep depression along with the flashback?

The feelings overwhelms the mind and the mind goes into stages of flashbacks of repeating things that they don't want to remember or want to remember. Depends.

So it's like the feeling, deep depression, trigger the flashbacks. Not Flashback triggering the feeling, even though that is possible.

Wow. That's pretty deep of you to say.

Thanks. I understand now.

You just answered your own question with the bolded above.

Having suicidal feelings doesn't mean I'm going to kill myself. If I acted on my suicidal feelings every time I had them I would have killed myself in the 3rd grade. I actually have a plan for this life I want to act out, and committing suicide doesn't work with the plan I have. So even when I feel so depressed that I want to die, I don't act on the temptation.

but what about the time you told me that you ran from a room where your legs moved without you being able to stop them? i wonder if something similar could have happened in this case (i.e. when your doctor prevented you from leaving her office)?

No cause she had the door closed and was standing in front of it. With the other teacher, he was coming from one direction, and I was able to run in the other direction and hide in a bathroom stall.

exactly.

you are experiencing a conscious feeling related to your environment and/or a certain thought which is completely separate from having a flashback -- although depression can occur before or after a flashback.

No, it has nothing to do with my environment Its how i feel about the content of my flashbacks...

How can you know for sure if the depression is completely separate? I often get very depressed right before a flashback or right after, and the number of times that has happened lead me to believe they are related.

i'm confused. so then you feel depressed after your flashback because i don't think depression can cause a flashback -- unless i'm wrong. (ocean or jillio please correct me if i am.)

you are experiencing

That phrasing right there has been occurring throughout this thread. I don't think anyone of us are in a place to tell other people how they feel or why they feel the way they do.

I think we should just focus on explaining how we feel, and we should try our best to validate other people's feelings, rather than telling them what they feel or why they feel the way they do.

Depression may be a warning sign for a flashback for some people, but it doesn't mean the depression causes it.
