It wasn't a transfer. It was an all new operation in South Carolina. The plant in Puget Sound didn't close. They didn't have work taken from them. They just didn't get the additional new plant.

Boeing wanted to build a plant where their operations wouldn't be constantly threatened with strikes.

Boeing COULD have recalled most of its jobs that it exported overseas if they cared so much about giving work to Americans. They didn't.

Yes, that 8% promise, that's going to haunt Obama's administration for a long time.

That's probably why Republicans are so reluctant to give any numbers to jobs their proposals would generate. They're very vague.

As for Solyndra, FBI raided the executives' offices - presumably because Solyndra lied about the state of their finances at the time they applied for the loan. I agree, that was a bad deal overall.

Meh. According to whom? The media? Did you notice that the media makes hardly any mention of Ron Paul while his poll numbers remain consistently high online?

I would not feel safe having Cain as a president he has no political background.
People did not think Obama should be president as he did not have a lot of
political background. Cain has none!! The guy sold pizzas! And his 999 tax plan will hurt a lot of poor people if they will have to pay taxes on food and clothes.
There is no way I voting for Cain! I was not to crazy about what he said about putting up a electric fence at the border so it will kill immigrants trying to sneak in from Mexico. Cain said he was joking when he said this and people need to get a sense of humor , but I do see not see the humor in it! And I think I have a good sense of humor . Cain was on 'Meet the Press' when he said this.

Amazing that there was such an outcry about lack of experience with Obama, and how has he worked out? I would say he gets a "D" grade. Now the Republicans might have this guy for their Presidential candidate. Really? Your best offer is this guy?

I saw that and is it scare the shit of me!! I do NOT want to pay more taxes
when my condo taxes are going up all the time! We're going to be tax to death, then you will get tax for being dead! You can't win! I saw Cain trying to explain his 999 on the last debate, and he only talked about apples and oranges!
 
I have to say that I had not heard of this and had never heard of this person at all. I guess I have been in a cave since moving to Florida.

I don't think Cain's tax plain is a good idea and i don't want to pay taxes that are regressive and that's why I have a problem with his tax plan.

Basics necessities like food and shelter take a out a larger percentage of the poor and the middle class incomes than it would for the rich. Let's say there's a 9% percent tax on your grocery bill. All classes pay the same prices for the groceries: it cost 50 dollars in groceries for the week for Joe the stock clerk, Dan the Teacher and Jeffery the CEO of a large bank.
Joe who earns about 11k dollars per year and he only gets 217.50 dollars per week because he's a part time worker. let's see what percentage his money is spent on groceries. It turns out that 23% of his weekly income is spent on groceries. With the 9% tax imposed on the groceries, the grocery bill would cost 68 dollars and it would take up 31% of his groceries.

Our teacher Dan earns 45k dollars per year. His weekly pay is $865 dollars and his grocery bill for this week is 50 dollars. it takes up about 5% of his weekly income. With the tax, it would come up to 8% (7.8 to be exact) of his income.

Jeffery as the CEO of a large bank gets 8 million dollars per year. He earns 153k per week. He is in a frugal mood so he found the best deals he could for his groceries and his bill takes up less than 1% of his weekly income. To be exact it takes up about .03 of his bill. In short, it's 3 hundredths of his weekly income. The 9% tax will have a negligible effect on his ability to afford other basics.

No right thinking guy would think the poor and the middle class are being punished for not making as much money as our CEO.

I heard on TV today about 50% of people in USA made less than $26,000 this year! The middle class is disappearing , and this going to hurt the poor as the
middle class donate the most to food panties etc.
