:eek: For real? It's even worse than hearing about a tick burrowing into my mother's back and she having to have it surgically removed.
 
Just learned that my parent's farm is too much for my parents to keep up so they're selling it and they'll move to NC when the farm is sold.

sorry to hear but I have a few nosy questions.

what kind of farm is it? livestock or crop? what state is it in? why NC?

No. They owned it for like 16 years.

I'd be more upset if we were to lose Willow Grove from the family. My mother's cousin owns it. My great aunt Ruth left it to her. My Great-Grandfather Grove built it.

It used to be a livestock farm. It's not growing anything now. It's in VA. My dad is a retired MD.

Most of my family live in NC. That's why they're moving to NC.

That will affect his overall health not to mention his mental health, too.

Let him try it and I bet you he'll cut back.

But yeah, I agree with you that it's not a good idea.

If you're at all familiar with Luray, VA; if you see the old mill (formerly owned by my great Grandfather Grove and my great aunts), the house across from it is my mother's cousin's house that's she's renting and the Willow Grove is right next to it.

EEEEWWWWWW! I don't feel anything inside of it, but I will keep an eye on it.

I never saw the spider that bit me. We do have Brown Recluse spiders, but thankfully they are outside.

To everyone else:
The swelling has gone down quite a bit, it's about the size of a dime now. But there is a light bruise the same size of the swelling of last night. If the itchiness doesn't go away by tomorrow I will go to the ER.

It won't kill him. I did one job 80+ hrs a week for 20 years.... Of course I loved my boss (me). After Katrina I worked 16 hrs a day for nearly 400 days without a day off. I loved it....really happy about it now too.

I am fit as a fiddle, stable and quite possibly the happiest person on earth. People have different tolerences.....It helps if you love your work too
