yeah, I'm like that with our son. I can't even hear if he is not saying something properly (he is taking speech therapy now and suppose to practice at home but oh well. I'm leaving it to hearing people to correct him).

you could always teach her signs. at least you can tell the difference :)

I learned that the guys in my class, get excited over the pap prep tray

I learned that my brother got his 6 year chip or whatever at AA tonight. Six years dry!! That's awesome for him.

I learned that I have a huge calluse on the end of my finger from working at Tyson. It's painful and sore. At least I've learned there is no shame in a hard day's work.

I also learned that it is possible to work as a Missionary in England via the IMB and get paid a salary plus a new vehicle every 5 or so years. Sounds nice really, but it would probably impossible to get the job even if I was genuinely interested.

Congratulations to your brother.

I've been trying to get my dad to go for years. No luck!

We could never get my father to go either. He had a brandy Manhattan in hand when he had is massive heart attack and died. If it wasn't a brandy Manhattan, it was Captain Morgan Spiced rum and coke. My father was one for the mixed drinks and my brothers were different whiskeys and beer.

One brother was Wild Turkey, the other was Southern Comfort and I was Jack Daniels. I gave up drinking and smoking to get married, the Wild Turkey brother gave up hard stuff and only drinks beer once in a while, and the Southern Comfort brother is the one who is 6 years dry. I am 18 years dry.

I learned about Neurofibromatosis.

Sounds like a disorder affecting the fibers of your nerves, particularly those in your spine.

I actually looked that up. Wow!! :eek3:

How'd you learn about it?

I input a collection of symptoms in one person and that was what came up.

It is a mutation that cause nerve tumors, acoustic neuroma, optic nerve damage, and more.

The acoustic neuroma runs in my husband's family and some have more than just that.

My dad, will probably have a heart attack soon. He has PAD and refuses to get treated. Smokes at least a pack a day and drinks idk how much. It's a real shame when people don't even want to help themselves. Sorry about your father. That's great that you are dry! :D
