What did you learn today?

Learned a few new things about Great Danes, since one of my neighbors has 2....They can't eat their food on the floor, the bowl has to be up to their shoulders, so a table that height is the correct way to feed them, the same with their water bowls.....

Learned also today that my ENT found a "white" small mass in my left ear...seems to think it's the Bone, and the skin has not healed over it (since the last surgery in Sept.)....Will know more in 6 weeks when I go back for another check=up...I'm thinking the Cholestoma has come back, but hopefully not....One good thing about it all is...No More Ear Drops!....Been doing that for 30 years it seems....

Just learned that the app I use for my finances probably won't be around much longer (can no longer buy it online). The original creator died in 2013 and apparently no one has taken over his company and the very popular app. Now to shop for a new one. :( Just one more thing to put on my busy, depressing plate.

It's scary to fight a bat in your kitchen using a snow shovel, especially with limited vision.

And dogs just keep sitting in the living room ignoring the situation.

I think you were thinking of Vampire Bats. Too much for you to watch the thriller.

I did , poor little bat. But at least he didn't bite anyone do we won't be quarantined or anything .

OMG if a bat got in my house I think I would run out of the house and call for help. Good job Botti. Your new nickname is now Batwoman.

A lot of you are up late tonight, it's nice for us west coast people.

Are bats common in your home? I read of others who have bats or squirrels in theirs. But I do not think I have ever encountered either in any of my homes. Lucky?

I learned that BNSF Metra car seating is NOT the same as it everywhere else. Quite different. They usually have those seats that push up/down, but not on here.

manuka honey top premium taste more divine than I remembered other than that learn nothing make sandwich only thing I done all day

First one. My husband thinks it got in in early fall and was hibernating behind the refrigerator . He said the dogs had been pointing back there, and he looked but couldn't see anything. Yesterday was really warm and sunny, so it apparently thought winter was over.

I bet you wish too that winter was over. I hope to not encounter bats or other wildies in my house. I will never forget last summer when there was a raccoon fight at 3 am one night in my backyard (enough to wake up my husband) and then find it a week later, decomposing, and best part of all, my dog ate parts of it and promptly threw it up in the house. Lovely.

My church battled them for several years. They would leave in the winter and then reappear. It took several attempts to seal off all openings they were getting through.

We are part of a group of churches that do a cooperative Bible School in the summer and one year we thought they were gone but they reappeared and the Bible School session got moved to one of the other churches. We did finally get rid of them.

I just learned that one of my East Coast friends wants to see me. Haven't seen him in a few years, and doing that will brighten up my weekend for sure. :P

Update on my friend.... he's bringing somebody else with him  This person I hadn't seen in a very long time, and she's nearly my age.

Or not. Turns out he's driving to Delaware now. Ah, well. That's okay, though. There'll be another time.

I learned that Martin Luther King made 3 visits to Evanston. The 3 visits were in 1958, 1962, and 1963.
