I learned that getting hot dog from food stand is cheaper at Sam's Club than Home Depot.
 
I learned that $20 blenders from Walmart doesn't last very long. Avoid buying one of those $20 blenders if you can.

that's why I got a $200 blender... Vitamix. actually it wasn't $200 because it was on sales but still.... the point remains :)

I brought $30 blender from K Mart and it did not last long . AT one time you could buy blenders for $30 and they lasted a long time , not today .
Everything is made in China and it junk and not made to last long. I had a $150 juicer and I let my sister used it . she kept in her garage and it got broken. It made peanut butter too
that was really yummy . fresh made peanut butter
 
I learned that Laurens Hammond was born in Evanston, Illinois 120 years ago. He is the one who invented Hammond organ. Is that cool or what?
 
A water slide in Chicago..... way up north. No other Chicago swimming pool has one.
 
First of all, ^^^^Awesome. Second of all, I learned that sleeping in your car during winter months puts the thickest layer of condensation on the windows that I have ever seen. You wipe it off and it just comes right back after a minute of driving, like magic.

You're still sleeping in your car out in that freezing weather? Who kicked you out, they don't sound very reasonable. Can you try to locate a church shelter or a place like that. Get yourself out of the cold at least for a few nights.

Lol, no. I have some friends who I have been hanging out with over the nights. I just took a nap in my car today while waiting to meet up with some people today. I live in a remote area so stuff is kind of spread out and we were all meeting at a park to head to the big city together in my car. Everyone else took forever to get there so I napped in my car for about forty-five minutes or so.
 
I learned that the South Side of Chicago has cleaned up considerably since my last visit there in 2004-- to 35th Street, but it IS much better than it was then. I'm surprised, actually. The Museum is just off of 55th Street, so quite a ways from 35th.

I bought nutro bullet 100quid thought my life be complete according to adverts I used it once
I got top quality juicer the thing hell to clean put in my garage as you say made in china and it broken.
 
That the Clark/Division Red Line is under construction. And it's closed, too, so that option is out.
 
Things are looking good environmentally here. No more oil has come into the sump pump. However, not necessarily out of the woods yet. At some point, guy said in a week or two, I think, we'll need to flush out the french drain, sump pump and pipes to outside to make sure we got all the oil out if we don't get a good rain that will do that for us.
 
I learned that Brookfield Zoo has free days on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays in January and February. :hmm: That makes me think I just might head there instead of Oak Brook this weekend. :P

My juicer was a very good one and rated one of best one out and very easy to clean . I used it all the time to make my daughter fresh apple or orange juice and homemade peanut butter. I brought no premade food for my child. I made my own pasta sauce too that way my child had no added sugar in her food.
 
Have a very expensive, top-of-the-line Blender that I never use anymore...it's somewhere back in the cabinets.
 
I learned I need a replacement part for my winter hat. It just snapped, so a new part is needed. Now to figure out where to find that at......
