My grandson attends college and is currently working three jobs. I hope he can fit the jury duty into his schedule because I think it would be a good experience for him, and it's good for juries to have some new blood in them.

My younger sister got called to jury duty a few times and once the lawyers were asking people in the jury pool if anyone lost a family member or friend in a drowning accident. My sister said she did and she was send home. The trial was about a person drying by drowning .
 
I learned that one of the apartments on my search list is on the bedbug registry. That one is out. No way I'm moving to that one. I also checked the rent for another one, and as I suspected, it was higher than advertised, BUT the area it's in is decent, though. The rent is $645, and I wouldn't mind living there if it wasn't that high. Ah, well. The search continues.
 
I learned that my next door neighbor tried to murder her husband by poisoning him. It was on the news. What the hell?????

Whoa. That's just plain crazy. That actually happened here last year, when someone got poisoned with cynaide. That stuff kills very quickly.

Yea, but I have known them for 7 years and we all are close to them. I found out today on the 5 o'clock news. She has struggled with her addiction to pain killers for years but she got sent to rehab 4 years ago and has been clean since then. Now, I wonder. This is CRAZY!!!!!!

Well, her previous drug addiction may have played a hand in it-- habits are hard to kick, especially prescription pain drugs. Those habits are one of the hardest to kick. I've heard it can drive people to do crazy things like THAT. Relaspes like those are awful.

WOW that is pretty frighteniing. Wonder how long she will be in jail?

I guess we never know what really goes on behind closed doors.
 
I guess I will find out more tmw or sometime this week. Apparently they had an argument and he left to cool off. When he returned, he discovered his prescription meds laced with poison. Just wow... I am in shock.

They usually do. It's to get a better understanding of how things were between them before the events earlier tonight. Of course, what they gather can either be admissible or not in court. Really depends on what they find out.

He has always been wonderful to us...helped build our deck and so many more. She always had the erratic behaviors. During the blizzards of '10, she went out in the middle of the street in her nightgown trying to shovel all the snow while it was still coming down in torrents. Then, she got sent away to rehab and for the past 4 years things have been normal until now. Wonder if she relapsed.

I will find out more but my heart breaks for him because he has been devoted to her. They have been married for like 30 years now and she had bypass surgery before we moved here, lost the weight but she became addicted to the pain meds. Then she has been struggling with her addictions u til 4 years ago when she got clean so that's why I am shocked. I still don't know much so I will refrain from making any assumptions until we know more...just horrible.
