TCS, who works in the cleaning industry, uses Out urine remover, which can be found in the Walmart pet department. The reason it works is because it has an enzyme that breaks down the urine.Thank you for the link!! At this moment, I have sprayed Xtra strength Febreze into that shoe and is now outside baking in the sun! If that does not help, I will try suggestions from that link. I spent 7hrs on the return trip home w/ a cat pee soaked shoe and sock! Fun, fun, funnnn....
Home remedies might seem to work temporarily or cover up the odor but only the digestive enzyme really removes the urine odor.
It's important to actually soak the material in the Out product, using the sprayer, to get down deep thru the layers. Leave it alone for 2-3 days. Don't rinse.
I hope you didn't already use the vinegar or other chemicals. That will mess up the pH value of the Out. Peroxide might cause discoloration.
