I went to work. After, did my Superbowl shopping got the chips, salsa, cream cheese, drinks, and other items I need for me. Cream cheese mixed in salsa is delish!

Yummy!
Enjoy watching Superbowl game! :)

Yesterday, I took Maxwell, my kitty to three different nursing homes for a pet therapy. The residents enjoyed petting Maxwell and asked me a lot of questions about him. Maxwell seemed enjoying his day. (He's well-behaved... Good boy, Maxwell!!!)

Good Job, Maxwell and Sosie!
My very first Rottie was certified as a therapy dog but due to her un-expected illness we never pursued it.

whatdidyousay! I'm sorry :(:(
Superbowl FEVER is sweeping everyone along here....told my folks - there will not be any beer, chips or soda left in stores!

oh - today I have Tai CHi and work out, and grooming appt. for one of the dogs, and also am looking forward tomorrow to major Pet Expo here!
It is a pet fair demonstrating rescues, dog activities and dog-related professional services. I have volunteered there with Rottie rescue before but not this year.

Nothing yet as I've just gotten up and have to get ready to go to work, but am grouching over the flash drive I bought last weekend and opened yesterday -- it doesn't work !! :( I have to take it back and get another. I have several others so I know it is just this one that isn't working.

Grabbed 7 M&Ms from a container with multiple colors M&Ms and I only grabbed two colors. Black and Red. And I'm wearing black and red today. What are the odds? :D

Got hubby off to work at 5:30, took shower, read book, emptied dishwasher, had 2 cups of coffee, fixed breakfast, changed litter box, fed cats, took daughter to dentist, went to pick up MIL's medicine and do a bank deposit for her as well. Had lunch while chatting with sallylou on P3. Played games on computer and checked out things online. In the back of my mind through all of this, thought about our move that is coming up.

I went to work, watched CSI deaf with some deaf students on the Mac in the computer class, and came home took a nap and ready to go to my zumba class in a bit.

Worked and worked. Then I worked some more. I have to admit these 6-day workweeks are burning me out. I just don't have energy like I used to. Even Red Bull isn't giving me a kick anymore. Now it's used to just merely function. Tomorrow is gonna be long.

Can you take a break?

Can you take a break?

No, I don't get 'sick' days or vacation time as it is considered contract work. However the chickens are going out in October after I did some looking around on the paperwork. They will probably get more in during December so that might be some (unpaid) time off. The only way I would get time off now is if I were direly ill to the point that I could not walk or stand for very long or if something catastrophic happened. I don't want either option. I'd rather work 6-days a week before I became direly ill or faced some catastrophic event that caused the loss of an entire flock. If we lose the flock, we lose the income, which means no job for me. They lost their flock once during a power outage and the entire house got too hot. 90% of the chickens over heated and died. They were out of chickens for 6 months. My aunt had to take on two full-time jobs as well as her husband having to continue taking care of the other animals on the farm as well as also taking on an additional full-time job. That was just to keep them afloat until they were able to get a new flock of chickens.

I am seriously considering just dropping everything in October when the chickens go out and re-enroll into Uni full-time under student loans. I'm tired of bouncing from job to job hoping I'll stay on long enough to finish school but nothing works out long enough. I think if I had that degree in my hand, people might take me more seriously for better positions. Right now I stand only 14 credits away from an Associates, but I still want to complete my Bachelor's. I don't know of many employers that even recognize an Associates Degree as anything. If I had that I *might* find secretarial work or as a bank teller or something like that. But I know it definitely won't be in this town. I'd have to work out of town as no one here is willing to give me a chance despite them knowing me as a good ol' gal. I dunno. I don't take any relationships I have very seriously because of this.

Frankly I think I'm just burned out in general as nothing is working out. I'm stuck and I need something to unstick me.

I hope you get her! Just change her name. She won't care.

Bitter sweet about Finlay, but I really hope you get your new poodle and get her trained soon. One year is a good age.

Wow, I am so sorry. You should go back to school if you can. Have you looked into working for federal government too? There's the Schedule A thing for people with disabilities where they can get the federal jobs they qualify for non-competitively.

I have checked into getting on with USDA-FSIS but they are General Schedule positions as you are required to perform all job duties with or without accomodation. I do know to work for USDA-FSIS you have to have vision that is correctable to 20/20 with lenses and they require a vision test. You are also required to see colors. I was told you have to take a hearing exam now but I'm not sure how well it would go over if they found out I was HOH in R ear and deaf in L ear. I wish I could find out from a recent hire if a hearing test is required. If not I can skirt my way around it with HAs. I would love for a USDA job to fall into my lap as I have my application in.

What kind of job is USDA-FSIS? I mean, what do they require you to do? I'm working for the federal government currently and I don't have to deal with hearing or eye tests?

I am addiction pepsi deit high anxiety!

Is is the Agriculture Department - Food Safety Inspection Service. You basically check post-mortem animals for diseases and abnormalities that are not fit for human consumption in slaughter houses.
