I thought the stone had to be your birthstone. I know I had no choice except for the color of the band/setting (gold or silver) and what 2 things on either side of the stone. I chose something that would cover both high schools I went to. Then I had an option for initials engraved on the underside.

thks, Kristina...and glad ur back!....Things have changed a heck of a lot since we were in HS....now they can choose any color stone and so many different designs too....some in 18Kt....Black is his fav color, even has black curtains in his room....Saw a lot of "proud" parents there and smiling kids too!....So, all's good.

True that!...*sniffling*...he's a fine young man and his "real" mother has missed out on so much....wish I could turn the clock back when they were just rowdy little boys....time has really flown...

And glad ur back too!...Everyone was concerned about you....
 
Just worked my ass off, worked out, took son to soccer practice, started laundry, cleaned up, got lunches and clothes ready for tmw. *thud*

I have a VERY VERY VERY difficult class this year. New kinds of challenges for me.

lots of behavior issues. LONG list....

They are all on grade level in all academic areas but have poor work ethics and bad attitude towards authority. Also, they have issues with bullying each other. I am going to work on fixing their issues and bad habits before they move onto to 4th grade.

One example...one of my students purposely wrote in very very sloppy handwriting in his Science journal. I made him erase the whole thing and do it all over again. I have seen him write very beautifully so I know he can do it. I am not going accept any less.

Last week, I made them eat lunch in my classroom instead of the cafeteria so we could finish math class because they wasted my time by goofing off in my math class. As a result, I ended up not eating my lunch until 3PM.

So far no heartburn nor headaches but just achy body from modeling my lessons over and over again because they dont want to take the time to think about what I am teaching. I have had lower functioning kids take more accountability of their own learning than those three. I just cant believe that they have absulotely NO interest in learning. I am trying to find the root of the problem and tackle it..so far, no luck.

You are such a great teacher. Your students are very lucky to have you, whether they realize it or not yet.

Well my "big event' of the week is that my dad, whose retired, is planning on taking me out to the casino with all you can eat king crab for celebrating my birthday. (it was on the 17th) I know it's not much, but I'll take anything I can get. :)

Slow day for me. So far, I have read 2 books, cleaned all the fans in the house, cleaned A/C filters, and gone to Wally World for MIL.
