Today I have access to the internet for first time in 10 days :)

Got a massive pile of emails, blog posts, AD forums, RSS feeds to read...

what did you do?

Had an holiday in a rented house with extended family by the sea in Cornwall, UK. Lovely location and very isolated. Blew my diet completely by eating and drinking loads :naughty:

Here's a photo of the small harbour we stayed near.

Cleaned the living room, then went to Deaf church, had a potluck lunch and a memorial service and finally got home at 4pm. What a log day for me. Had a blast though.

Sounds like you had a great time! :)

Overall we did. One or two not so good moments, and I had sore ears meaning I couldn't wear hearing aids for five days and relied on lip-reading. But our kids adored having little adventures down by the sea and watching the wildlife there. Big change from inner city living for them. As a parent that's the most important thing.

I actually took an early nap today. I havent done that in yrs. My fucking Indians got swept today by the stinkin' Tigers. YUCK!

AJWSmith..that picture is gorgeous! Glad you had fun!

First day back in Maryland was spent doing my bills, figuring out whether I am broke or not, putting all the stuff from our trip away, food shopping, and buying a futon for the room where my brother used to live in. We are slowly buying furiniture for it to make it into a guest room. Now, I am taking a break before getting myself ready for my first day back at work! The fast-paced lifestyle begins tmw!!!

My ear infection returned while I was in Arizona but I forced my HAs in because my family dont know sign language. So painful! I should get a CI and just slap it on for family gatherings..hehehe!

Ouch! I know that pain :aw:

The infection seems to be gone but my ear canal is all swollen and sore. There is no way I could put my HAs in even if I tried. Thankfully, my immediate family use ASL and my job is ASL all the way so I will take a break from my HAs for a week. I learned that I will have students who prefer to use speech or use English in the spoken form this year so it will be interesting for me.

Took my mother to her blood doctor and to the lab. Had a bad drive home due to a comment from my mother that came out of the blue. Went to MIL's bank to cash a check, gassed up 3 vehicles. Bought groceries and stockpiles of canned goods from Walmart. Then went to Whole Foods for my stuff. Home to relax a little, then to take MIL to weight loss meeting just to weigh in and then out to eat. She's buying.

First day back at work...not too bad except that in the afternoon, I was practically nodding off during the workshops from jet-lag. Workshops ended an hour early so I grabbed the opportunity to mow my jungle. Now, I am seriously tired. lol
