They're busy stoppin at 7-11's for slurpees?

Couldn't get them to come out of the pool!

Seriously, though, many of my clients use public transportation, and I felt horrid that they would have to stand at a hot bus stop in the middle of the day, but I wanted them to keep their appts, too. And some are taking meds that don't interact well with the heat. So I just gave everyone the option of an evening appt during the heat wave. So far, they have all taken me up on it.:giggle:

Slurpee does sound good though!

Yea, I will upload the before and after pics on my fb and here when I am all done.

When we return from AZ, we will work on the big bathroom upstairs. I am soooo tempted to replace my soaking garden tub with a jacuzzi tub. Saw one the same size for $800 but I know the costs of getting it installed will be the expensive part. Need to get a consultation and estimate. If too much, then maybe later. But will replace the vanity and sink to make double vanities and sinks, the light fixtures, and mirrors. Yes, will paint it as well.

Nice, a jacuzzi! **jillio checking the price of plane tickets to shel's house!**

I figure out think so consider wish be hope be enjoy! I think so consider!

Worked, went to my DD's art show that was a part of her art camp that she has participated in this week, came home, ate dinner, and now I'm working on getting laundry done. Yeah my life is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo exciting (not).

Hey, more exciting than mine at the moment! I made breakfast, went for a short swim in our pool, watched TV, worked on some crochet projects, went to the post office and found my new bathing suit had arrived, went home and went for a longer swim in my brand-new bathing suit.

Made frittatas for dinner. Now how's THAT for an exciting life, hmmm???

I am about to make a one egg omelet in a pan sized just for it that will be a perfect circle..

I win the exciting life sweepstakes!

Hey, at least you have a pool to swim in. Ours bit the dust 3 weeks ago. Also, what is a 'frittata'?

Botts: your post made me laugh! You're going to have to tell me how to make perfect omlettes since when I make them, they just turn into a mess. :D

Frittatas: fancy word for messy omelet, basically.

Spray pan with cooking spray, put in a little butter to melt. Chop up some onions and mushrooms. Toss in pan with roughly 1/4 to 1/3 lb. ground beef (for two people). Fry up until meat is done and onions are translucent. Add some oregano, dried parsley, salt, and ground black pepper. Worcestershire sauce if you have it, a little bit. (I didn't happen to have any tonight.) A shake of garlic powder is good. Mix thoroughly.

Push all that to one side of pan. Using 3 eggs for two people, whisk up eggs with a little skim milk. Pour that mixture into empty side of pan, turn heat down to medium, let it cook for two minutes without stirring. Then gently (with a spatula) lift up edges and let uncooked egg mixture run down. Keep doing that until it's all softly cooked.

When eggs are softly set, mix the egg mixture gently with the meat mixture. Toss on about 1/4 C. of grated Parmesan cheese, and let that heat through.

And...slide onto plates and enjoy! Garnish with fresh parsley if you have it.

As I said, basically a messy omelet...

The perfect omelet. A non stick pan, spray with Pam, heat on high while you quickly mix the eggs until perfectly yellow with a little salt and pepper. Nothing else.

Pour this in the very hot skillet, turn down to medium, and when it sets on the bottom start lifting up the edges so the wet egg runs under and cooks.

Because of my insane need for symetry, I flip the whole thing over and brown the other side too. That part takes practice.

Then you can put any cooked meat or vegetables in the center and fold it over.

That's basically how I do it too, but I always add a bit of milk and sometimes just a little flour. The flour makes the egg mixture brown up nice and pretty.

Also I don't flip the whole thing over, just put in my veggies and whatever in the middle and fold over that.

I two stepped, boxed stepped and did the chicken dance with a hot mama ....

Also did some swing and waltzes.

I never wanna dance again (My mom is younger than me .... she is permanently stuck at 29)

So, are you going to be her partner in the competition, then? Sounds like fun!

Ah, it seems like it's an Italian breakfast scrambler, but it does sound good. I never thought of putting eggs with Worcestershire sauce, oregano, parsley, and the like. If I have time tomorrow morning, I may try this - given I have all of the ingredients.

I'm thinking sausage chunks and fried potato squares would make a good omelet filler. I've heard of people adding cheese and jalapeno peppers to their omelets along with some habanero sauce for a condiment topping.
